50 blues songs (sendspace) - for anyone interested

I was asked on another board to put together a collection of blues for someone, so the easiest thing for me was just copy one of my playlists and share that. So, here's my 'Blues1' playlist. I avoided putting too much gospel, or scratchy recordings in this playlist, but there may still be one or two that fit in those cateragories. I left all the original file info intact in case anyone wanted to locate the albums these come from and buy em. This is not a pre-war collection if anyone was wondering. That playlist is still in the works ;)

Every file is mp3 for simple uploading reasons and outright laziness, if mp3 isn't what you want, it's probally best to not download this. As well a lot of the tracks may still have the album art that I attached to my all my original files, some appear not to though, not sure why. Within the folder the files may not look that organized but they are all tagged internally to show the track/album & artist on my player (winamp) correctly and hopefully yours as well.

So, here's 50 Blues Songs. Enjoy.

Cheers folks, hope ya'll enjoy, nothing to far out or rare in there really, but its one of my more played playlists. Roy's version of 'Hey Joe' usually gets a replay (or two) from me and a few bangs on the wall from my neighbour to turn it down once in awhile. 028ws9.gif

What? No Jonny Lang?!

Sorry Jaimoe, I do have some Lang, but he really didn't fit this playlist in my opinion. I keep those blues in a folder similar to my "new country" folder. ;)

esau, you're some kind of hero today!

cheers dude

downloading it now

My pleasure C, I saw your other post and I was hoping you'd get around to those links, figured you'd be someone who would also enjoy em. Sorta a cross-post reply here I guess.

Cheers

A lot was left out from the original playlist, RJ for one, only because I'm building a pre-war collection to share eventually. I find it a lot tougher to compile though without just throwing in any old quality of recording, a lot of which many folks would probally find unlistenable besides collectors/fans of that era, as I'm sure you understand.

The Nighthawk & Kimbrough on the other hand were perhaps oversights on my part I suppose, but I just took one of my playlists I had made for myself long ago and copied the files over to a folder to share, removing a few tracks due to sound quality.

When I get around to making another collection to share I'll more then likely build it from scratch and it'll have a lot more artists and perhaps not so many "fan favourites" as I like to see them as.
