larry_llama Posted February 12, 2010 Report Share Posted February 12, 2010 I just cancelled the roses I sent to your house...awesome! 12 lives saved...part of my v-day distaste is due to the fact that i dislike cut flowers (why not give a living plant??), boxed candies (more packaging than food) and especially cards (DIY ones are better though).it's just an emotionally fuelled "celebration" that results in more frivolous useless purchases than any other holiday. At least a christmas, people can and do give gifts that people need.Because my love for my girlfriend exceeds my hatred for valentines day, I will give her something on Sunday. But it will not be anything valentines related, and especially not anything that was specifically manufactured for the sole purpose of being purchased on valentines day, that's for damned sure!happy thanksgiving!
