Pablo Sanchez
hahahahahaha,I'm pretty sure we stayed at the one in new jersey. On tour with nero played in teaneck that night, seemed to drive forever trying to find a cheap place to stay. Punk behind the wheel, and ultimately behind this destination. hahaha. We arrived to bulletproof glass at the reception and what appeared to be homeless people pushing shopping carts along the upper level. I guess the price was right though and we decided to try it. Got to the room, no shower curtain, tv with 3 channels of porn and a Spanish channel. I remember sleeping fully clothed, toque on, zipped up in a sleeping bag. Weird stains everywhere... I think punk slept with the gear that night.. probably a better call than the room.

Pablo Sanchez
Yes, that is likely it. It was definitely in the post bus days.
Booche
I am 20% convinced I stayed in the same hotel. If it is nearish Giants Stadium that number rises to 60%. My experience was almost identical, we also slept on top of the sheets in our sleeping bags. Cigarrette burns everywhere. Lots of weird stuff/sounds going on outside too. I felt like I was Charlton Heston in The Omega Man when the sun set.
peipunk
Punk behind the wheel, and ultimately behind this destination.Good lord, am I to blame for that one! That was an assault on the senses for sure. I am not 100% sure what would have been worse, sleeping amongst the weird stains or waiting to be shot in the van. This was one of those "we didn't make any money but are too tired or drunk to drive" nights, and Dmayne was with us too, so the van was crammed. Glad to see we experienced a top ten destination! PassedOutGuy
We had the (dis) pleaseure of staying at number 7 in Williamsville NY last year when we headed down to see moe. It was listed on travelocity as one of their "secret great deals" hotels. There was a reason it was a secret. Our phone didnt work and took maintenance almost 2 hours to fix. nasty mold and mildew all over the walls and I wont even talk about the bathroom situation. Northern Wish
My tour buddy had us booked at the Hotel Carter for this past NYE MSG run before I had a chance to look around and book somewhere else- that lacked crime scene tape or a bedbug infestation. It would seem that even calling this place will leave you with bedbug bites! mister slippery
I'm somewhat saddened to not see what I thought was an obvious one on the list. After Phish Long Island in 03, Shainhouse and I stayed in a place that should, I think, be the subject of a warning sign to be placed in the rooms at these top 10 hotels. Might've been called the Sea Breeze or Ocean Breeze. Whores in the parking lot, whores in the lobby, and a room where you didn't wanna even turn on the light. Sometimes its just better not to know some things, and the appearance of that room would've been one of em. :chug: Good times.
Northern Wish
You got Destiny and all you remember are the whores in the parking lot?!?!I'd have taken your room in a heartbeat- I had to drive all the way back to Worcester. IIRC correctly we got back to the hotel there at about 4am......

bouche
Paul Blaker and I rented a room in Hartford Connecticut during Furthur '96 tour, at a place that scared the fack out of us.There were stains that looked like blood to us, and holes in the ceiling/walls that looked like the bullet holes from movies. After the show, on our drive back we realized just how seedy the area was and turned away towards the highway and pulled an all-nighter to the next show in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. We ended up catching a couple of hours of zzzz's on the beach. Much more peaceful.

questcequecest?
We have also done the #7, Rodeway Inn.. I think for about $35. I don't recall any specific nastiness, but am certainly in the 85% who would not recommend it.Also glad I've been to a 'Top 10 Resort'... Good times, indeed!
