Blane
Hi again,The time has come for me to appeal to Jambands.ca's collective wisdom on this fest, where you've made sure I didn't miss greats like William Elliot Whitmore and Tallest Man on Earth.Any suggestions for this year? Not loving the lineup as much as years past but the vibe usually makes up for it. I've put asterisks beside the acts i'm definitely going to hit. Any other "can't miss" people here? Freeker
Blane What fest is this? I'd say almost every single artist on that list is worth checking out. Here's my short list in order of awesomeness:The Deadly SyndromeKathryn CalderBest Coast White DenimMogwaiMidlake Laura Marling The WalkmenWild NothingPhosphorescent Clap Your Hands Say Yeah Timber Timbre Twin Shadow Wild Beasts Enjoy Okkervil, Megafaun, M. Ward and Kurt Vile! That's a solid line up right there.
Blane
thanks guys. Had never heard of White Denim. Will check out these suggestions.Trev, the festival is End of the Road. Small fest in Dorset (UK) that I go to every year. They've got pretty good taste in bands, but there's often a lot of stuff I've never heard of in the lineup (which is cool!). DevO
I'd check out Midlake too. Curious to know what your impression is of Tune Yards. Looks like a good festival!
Davey Boy 2.0
How's the looting been, Blane? Have you scored anything cool?
Booche
The Growlers. I havent heard their music but that name rocks. 3rd recommendation for White Denim.
fluffhead77
100% skip Joanna Newsom. Everything else is gravy. Play safe!
edger
I'd second Laura Marling. I believe Jolie Holland used to be with The Be Good Tanyas?

Blane
thanks all! DaveO, I love Tuneyards. Been catching her for the last few years (since she was in Sister Suvi) and her vocals and songwriting are fantastic.Riots didn't make it down to Brighton (we're too white and middle class I suppose), so I'll have to settle on scoring "new in box" IPhones off ebay I guess!
