AD
Same dates as the Toronto Urban Roots Festival (TURF). Good for bookings / tour routing / sharing some artist costs.
Northern Wish
I loved TURF but won't be able to attend this year due to the change in date. Bah!
AD
Also same dates as Riotfest (Toronto). Will mean more bands / acts in the area that weekend, maybe not same demographic but who knows....
Northern Wish
Riot Fest drew so poorly last year that everyone who entered the Exclaim! contest seemed to win tickets. I don't see them taking any attendees away from TURF.
AD
Well I can't copy and paste a link into this forum / post / reply from an iPhone (unless someone knows how to do this or Bouche can address it?) but on the Ottawa Citizen site right now there's an article detailing how CityFolk will be taking over Bank St in the Glebe during the festival a la Sixth St in Austin during SXSW. Lots and lots of free shows in many venues. Great idea again.

AD
Given the TURF lineup and the comments about a joint bid for Wilco in the linked article below, I'd say it's fair to bet on a Wilco show at CityFolk. Good news. http://m.ottawasun.com/2015/04/19/creating-a-great-festival-one-piece-at-a-time bouche
