This left him almost no money for things like, oh, food. As a result, he bought a huge bag of oatmeal (IIRC, the classmate was Scottish); his plan was to that three meals a day for the entire term...he got partway in, and ended up with scurvy... bokonon Posted September 17, 2004 Report Share Posted September 17, 2004 i am not a vegan because i love fuzzy little animals. i am a vegan because farming of animals takes a huge toll on the environment. i am trying to reduce the impact i leave on the planet. i am not some flakey little animal lover that thinks cows and such have the same rights as humans. if i was starving out in the wilderness you can bet your ass i would chase down bambi and kill it with my teeth if i was hungry enough. but i can be vegan and thus i am. it is my little way of being a tree hugger.
