  1. In! 3 Lawns for PA. Who's coming with me?
  2. Due to a high volume of traffic and longer than average wait times, you have been placed in a temporary waiting room. If you continue to wait, you will be randomly placed in a queue to continue. You can also check back later when our site becomes available. Thank you for your patience.
  3. I use Primus and can get 500kb/s anytime of day with no download limit (I'm pulling down whole DVDs daily and I've never even got a warning...Duane's on my ISP too and downloading like mad). Both Bell and Rogers couldn't even come close when I had them. Also with Primus for home phone & unlimited internet I am paying 1/2 what I was with Bell for the same service a year ago.
  4. Happy Double Birthdays to you and the little fella!
  5. Here's the link to this guys book about Oprah: http://www.thewizardofo.com/ He blames her for getting him hooked on crack and ruining his life.
  6. There's a new 40th anniversary release of "Lumpy Gravy/We're only in it for the Money" called simply "Lumpy Money". It's delayed but available for pre-order from zappa.com. These are probably the most psychedelic albums on earth. From Billboard: The Zappa Family Trust will kick off a comprehensive campaign to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the late Frank Zappa's albums next month. "Lumpy Money," a three-CD "audio documentary" due out Nov. 25, is the first offering in the series -- and, according to Zappa's widow Gail, the most unique. "These two records happen to be Frank's masterworks," Zappa tells Billboard.com, "so this is the most ambitious of all the (40th anniversary) projects. The challenge is how to educate the audience to understand what 'Lumpy Gravy' and 'We're Only in It for the Money' are, and what they're part of. "So in this particular case we have to be more about the process than the outtakes. You're going to be listening to how Frank worked, all the little developments of these pieces as opposed to just an outtake or another performance of that particular piece. You're going to hear how he got there from here." The "Lumpy Money" package will feature two separate mixes of each album, done by Frank himself. It will include feature the first official release of the instrumental, Igor Stravinsky-influenced orchestral "ballet" version of "Lumpy Gravy" that Zappa recorded in 1967 for Capitol Records but decided to revamp, adding rock musicians and eventually releasing it on MGM/Verve four months after "We're Only in it For the Money" in 1968. Gail Zappa says a "sister" project will be released shortly after "Lumpy Money" that will contain more music from those sessions. http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003876040
  7. I caught most of today's show driving. What an awesome program. I really liked Ruth Underwood's enthusiasm about the music during her segments. She is the best xylophone/percussionist I have ever heard and she is still in love with Frank's music.
  8. In a similar Billionaires and drugs note, the National Enquirer has found some court papers which indicate that Oprah used to smoke crack cocaine (and her ex-lover says she has relapsed). I bet she has the best crack on the planet.
  9. Really interesting documentary. The Vice Guide to Travel is very good also (they travel to Chernobyl looking for mutated boars and try to buy some nukes from the black market along the way). Highly recommended viewing.
  10. I just saw on the news that he won. Congrats! Maybe Stuart Smalley can help save America.
