  1. Good to hear about EB. The last time I saw them, their new batch of songs fell very flat. I heard they ditched the whole batch of them and wrote another round for the new album which comes out soon. Love love love that band.
  2. Drop everything you are doing and listen to the Mikes Groove from Cypress. Its way better than I remembered.
  3. Its not looking good: http://www.theweathernetwork.com/hourlyfx/caon0512/hourlygraph/1?ref=qlink_obs_hourly
  4. Did anyone happen to download that show while it was available? I was relying on the stream, but the show is no longer available on LMA.
  5. Sorry didn't give any info on that last one. His name is Jayme Stone. Search youtube for some really great banjo picking lessons.... And now: Hayes Carll He reminds me of Nathan Moore or something else I just can't put my finger on right now.
  6. I think he meant this one:

  9. I have some of those, but I also have neighbors that I like and respect. I don't want to piss everyone off at once! I for one find these cases of business vs. the city totally frustrating. Sure the city needs to improve, but its maddening when they refuse to reduce or eliminate property taxes during these periods of reduced foot traffic and business.
  10. Cool. I have a neighbor who blast Jesus Rock all day long while he gardens (he is off his rocker at the best of times). I wonder what music I can blast at him to cut the glory glory hallelujah crap? For now I have a sign all ready to go that reads: Jesus Music Sucks Music is in tiny letters, while the other two words are large. I just need to get up the courage to put it out there.....
  11. This guy is getting some serious miles out of his plea. I have seen this posted, reposted, tweeted and retweeted 100's of times this week. Nearly every musician/ band that I follow has sent it out to their followers.

  13. Dude- next time you should wait until you get there to get puddled. Lets do the time warp again! Seriously though- we're leaving mid morning on Thursday to arrive there around 6pm. I don't want to set up in the heat of the day, but would like to make camp before dark on Thursday to get oriented, hear soundcheck and get crunked. You come from a racing family? I'm surprised we've never talked about this. Yep. My father was a stock car, motorcycle and Mini car racer until by brother was born- then Mom made him hang it up. He raced and won at Watkins in 79, but most of his real success was at smaller local tracks like Mosport, Lancaster, Welland, Cayuga and Batavia. I have very vague memories of being the crew kid in an RV on the infield of tracks, and of riding my police motorcycle Big Wheel on a track during set up- though I won't be sure if they are from Watkins until I go back.
  14. Never mind- I got it all up and working! (And I've already figured out the loophole that you just have to manually change your computer time).
  15. I'd like to but no matter how many times I enter the parameters, its not working. Does anyone here have any tips? My urls are loaded, the time frames are set but I'm still here and its between 9 to 5 during the week!
  16. Whatever you do make sure to cook extra steaks anytime you bbq. For my money there is nothing better than steak and eggs to kick off a long day of Phishing.
  17. That was in the first package of tapes that I traded for. I was a total noob and I had no idea what to think. To this day I don't think I have ever relistened to it. ..::off to the spreadsheet to grab it now::...
  18. That is almost as impressive as Tim Thomas' playoff performance.
  19. I sent a message to my PT contact for you on this one.
  20. Is that the band that opened for The Pixies? I hated them that night. ________________________________________________ I'm not sure if you are questioning the facts, or the quality of the writing but I have this to offer: The younger and more upstart a band - the more likely you'll read shit like this. They either had a friend write that for their EPK, or the didn't submit one at all so Bluesfest staff created it themselves. I wrote at least 10 for the Folk Festival a few years back. Several of which were for bands I had never heard before.
  21. The lineup this year is a huge step forward for the festival as far as headliner names go, but as usual there are some truly amazing artists on the undercard that are not to be missed. I'm hoping others will participate with me and we can post some of our favorites from those 'unknown' artists. Videos, downloads, streams etc. would all be great tidbits of information to properly plan out the weekend. Thanks! Sean Taylor
