  1. TM was a long while ago but the guy I am buying a single from that was PTBM says he hasn't received yet. Is that possible? I'm getting a bit nervous over here....
  2. It proved he has alot of time on his hands this afternoon.
  3. I was at that show with Dave-O. Best Slip show I ever saw. Oh and I am listening (and watching) to Primus Live at Hangout Fest courtesy of iclips: http://iclips.net/watch/hangout-2011
  4. Umm...I thought this was about Yours Truly and \/\/illy.
  5. I have a computer question, this thread seems appropriate: When I installed the Veetle Player so I can stream sports online, I have noticed that when I search something in google, the search result page is from vshare.com, not google.com. If I go back and click search again, it goes to google. I don't think I can uninstall Veetle without losing the streaming service, or can I? Its not the worst thing on earth, but it is slightly annoying.
  6. The capital region’s musical talent will be well-represented at Bluesfest 2011. More local and international acts are slated to be announced within the next few weeks. “We’ve always been proud to highlight the variety of talent that Ottawa has to offer,†says Ottawa Bluesfest executive director Mark Monahan. “In 2011, we’ll not only showcase the many styles of music available in Ottawa, we’ll also enhance our line-up by doing so.†Visit ottawabluesfest.ca for more as the lineup expands.

  10. Scallops wrapped with prosciutto never last long on an hors d'ouvres platter.
  11. "It’s a rare feat — the last guy to do it was Aurora, Ont., native Harry (Hap) Holmes with the Seattle Metropolitans in 1916 and the Toronto Arenas in 1917."

  13. Go fuck all y'all. I've been on here and its tumbleweeds. Except for Ctowns. And I'm not sure if that helps. Do you guys even watch hockey once Les Brahs are out? I blame the jenkem.
  14. Huntley Slim and the Suburban Cowboys would be a great fit. I can put you in touch if need be.
  15. Yup you got it there TG. For which band Rev? I'll help you find the right opener! For starters: Dusty Drifters play 90% covers.
  16. I think it could be due to several factors: 1) Other artists that have yet to be announced could have clauses in contracts with other venues where their festival show cannot be announced until the show in question sells a certain % of tickets (this happens both ways- depending on the clout and perserverance of the promoter or talent buyer). I think this may be the case with Buffett as his show in Toronto displays at least 1400 remaining seats- NOT counting the lawn. 2) Bluesfest may be gauging ticket sale #'s before further investing in the event. It makes perfect business sense to not add anything else if ticket sales are strong well in advance. By that same token they can use the lure of additional acts to prompt others to buy in early; and can use an announcement of additional acts to fuel purchases. It would not even surprise me to learn that they are studying the demos of the ticket buyers, and add additional acts based on the low or high frequency buyers (this is a stretch I know). I have heard that Bluesfest maintains an awesome database of demographic profiles of its past customers (see: Cisco Systems). 3) Some talent/ management agencies are just slow and might not be done with their bookings for the summer yet. Once the first wave of bookings happens, those acts that get left out/ still have dates to fill- go for another round with the promoters. 4) Maybe they're busy planning a major festival. Geez. * With notes from the Random Guess file.
  17. I don't know my exact MMJ biographies so can anyone let me in on the lineup/ lineup changes during the last few years/ albums. I read a post that indicated there has been alot of lineup changes and that may be the reason for the last three albums being all over the place when compared with each other.
  18. The Acorn for bands that play originals, put out their own music and tour. Dusty Drifters for a shit kicking good time on a Sunday night. This sort of feels like a thread that we are supposed to pose a further question, so here goes: "bartender"
