Definitely a great show. I did have a hard time getting away from the incessant crowd noise, especially during the too-long-for-an-outdoor-show acoustic run. I really enjoyed DiMeola, especially compared to the last time I saw him.

When I was a kid drunk driving was barely illegal and it happened all the time. The legal system in Canada cracked down on drunk driving hard and completely changed the climate on it. Look at this thread for an example.

Congratulations Heather! You took on a huge project with no experience in the field and made it work at every level. Your dedication and perserverence are to be admired and you deserve to feel proud of yourself. Lots of people shake their heads in dismay when disaster strikes around the world and I'm ecstatic that I find myself entangled with someone who takes in upon themselves to step up to bat. Good on you Heather, way to go.

Hey all, I'd like to put out a last-minute plea. phorbesie has spent the last few weeks furiously working to organise the Burma benefit show at Barrymore's tomorrow night. There's a great lineup of entertainment (including the wonderful Bob Wiseman), and, well, I guess I just hope a lot of you can make it out and help support her efforts to try and help some seriously disadvantaged people. This is a great community we've developed here, and it would be very encouraging to see some of you out at the show tomorrow night flying your hippy-helpy colours. I don't know about you, but I have a hard time noticing the posts that are stickied to the top.
