  1. You a fan of "Northern Exposure"? I once had a great afternoon driving through the woods to visit "Cicely, Alaska" aka Roslyn WA. The Gorge is paradise; as far as concert venues go. Contact me otherwise than here if you want to know where I would camp if I were going there.
  2. Nice! This sounds like it's going to be amazing. I'm sure they'll have me by the end of an acoustic "Hell Hole"! I'm still crossing my fingers for "Big Bottom", too.
  3. In a nutshell, it was the law that licensed growers of medical marijuana were only allowed to grow for a single person; him or herself, or another person - but only one. The relevance of the judgment at issue is that it says that such licensed growers should be allowed to supply as many people as need the product, so long as they are prescribed the drug for medical reasons. Given that the Supreme Court of Canada won't hear an appeal of that judgment, that means that all appeals are exhausted, and the judgment is now the law:
  4. You should be sorry. I blame you. (Okay, well not really, but if I can't shoot the messenger who else do I have?)
  5. [color:purple]Yes. Let's ban all behaviour that others participate in that irritates, or might irritate, anyone else.
  6. Are they done in Toronto or any more shows? I think I need to see them.
  7. Can you really be considered a legend if it is easily proven you exist?

    Dudes!

    Criminals; all of you.
  9. Did your son ever see Feist on Sesame Street, Juls? It was brilliant, "One,Two,Three Four; Penguins standing by the door. I love counting; counting to the number four..."
  10. I expect this to be very amusing, and probably with some decent music, too. If anything, it'll be worth the price of admission just to see if they actually play "Big Bottom" on three acoustic double-basses.
  11. Yay! You mean nearly one in six people in this lovely city cared enough? I'm sooooo impressed! (Need I really use purple?)
  12. Hardly surprising the Toronto skyline hardly changed. I think I was among the few in my neighbourhood who even bothered to turn off our lights. Let's hear it for the embarrassment of this hemisphere!
  13. I once had a friend whose dream it was to convert a water tower into an apartment. I think he even knew where he planned to buy rounded furniture to fit the space. (Actually, didn't "Troy McClure" live in such a structure?)
  14. I never expected to see this banner ad on The Skank, yet there it is: Is nowhere safe from TB and their scalper-company? Not even The Sanctuary is a sanctuary from them.
  15. Actually, those are basically what are being used to fashion temporary apartments to house athletes in Whistler for 2010. (Same idea, but on several levels; sort of a little container-apartment-building.)
