I just stumbled upon this Kool and the Gang show from 1982. WOW! It is on fire the band is as tight as I've ever heard any band. From the word go this show is poppin'. If this doesn't get you movin'you may be dead. Kool & the gang live in London 1982 BBC

Agreed. I too have seen Becka couple times is the last 7 years ir so and he is a monster. His last three albums have all been drum & basss techno fusion too. I will be down at the ACC the night of trying to score cheap tickets.

I actually looked into this show becuase not only are the New deal playing late night but Chuck Berry is playing before them at 11pm!!! However flights to NYC are waay inflated well over $400 buck right now and you can't stay anywhere in NYC for under $230/night so the whole thing would be over a grand easy for a couple nights. Sadly out of my price range.

Hey all, I am looking for a good show to see for New Years an I am fine to travel to do it. Any suggestions in the north east? Phish in Miami is out due to the price of flights and lodging (I also was there in 2003 and prices have skyrocketed since then.WOW)

So yet another great concert that is again pricing me out of the market. Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton @ ACC, Toronto Sunday Feb.21 Floors: $225 Lower Level: $125 Upper Bowl front: $89.50 Back of Upper Bowl: $69.00 Add on top of that the typical ticketmaster service charges apply so tack on probably $17 per ticket. So expensive and from my experience you don't want to be in the upper bowl at the ACC especially at these prices. Tickets on sale Friday.

I've heard good things about this project too. Hope it lives up to the rep.

Seruiously! For one Kruetzman lives in Hawaii and tours only occasionally. Bobby's buddy from Ratdog is skilled keyboardist Jeff Chenemti, amazing player. The "guy" from DSO is John Kadelecik, who is a mid blowing player how sounds eerily like Jerry. I have heard the recordings fromt he road of this band and they are far superior to the Dead which toured last summer.

I'm going to the Royal Scam on Thursday. I've already seen most of the Aja album at other Steely Dan shows. Gonna be awesome!

The security is ridiculous. You can't even smoke a doob outisde! It's like being in prison. The show was killer though! Umphrey's sounded better than ever and that Supertramp cover was the shit.

Dude, Go on hotwire and you can stay in downtown Detroit for like $40. I do it all the time and end up at the holiday inn express which is walking distance from Cobo hall and the service is great. Staying in Windsor will be more expensive.
