  1. Hi Gang, Posting this for my friend who has a great pad and needs a great roommate..spread the work please. ------------------------------ Hi, I have room for rent in my two bedroom apartment for May 1st or earlier. The apartment is on the second level of a detached house on a cute residential street. It is $575 inclusive with the exception of phone/internet and cable which runs about $45 a month. The bedroom is large and has a decent sized closet with east facing window. The apartment is complete with eat in kitchen and cozy living room, 4 piece bathroom room with a balcony. The place is conveniently located at Pape and Danforth and is a two minute walk from Pape subway, cool stores, fantastic restaurants, and some nice parks. A great place to be in the spring/summer. About me: I am a 31 fun-loving year old female professional. I work hard during the week and am therefore quiet, but like to go out and have fun on weekends. I am vegetarian and a HUGE music lover and tend to go to a lot of concerts. So music is often playing here - everything from disco, classic rock, and electronic music. I also have a very friendly cat so you would need to be OK with that. I am looking for a roommate who is clean, social, respectful and mature (in character) and looking to put down some roots in a great space. Smoking is not ok here but I am 420 friendly. I am also open to finding a place with someone in a different location, so if you like me but want a change of venue I am up for it. The Beaches have always been appealing! Those who are anti-social with drama and emotional baggage need not apply. email: shyla_brenanan@yahoo.ca
  2. [color:brown]Priceless Audio & NUFUNK.CA presents [color:DarkOrange] The Sweetback Creed The Disco is all encompassing. The Funk ever expansive. While the waters of both run deep, it takes blood, sweat and tear soaked dedication to trim the fat and make the sonic river run solid gold. At Sweetback!, we savour our beats like Dom Perignon; the rarer the vintage the better. To this end, we are dedicated to playing only the finest rarieties, out of print smashes and forgotten dancefloor monsters. Classic tracks that missed the charts, but kept bodies moving in discotechs around the world and continue to be sampled today. Music forever immortalized as the foundation of house, breaks, techno and beyond. We may throw in some Gibb, Jackson, or a little KC when the musical flow demands, but do expect to bump 'till it breaks on the baddest jams you probably never heard. 3. Yes I have and I think I may go see them just for the comedy of it all. What a lineup of misfits. How did Chad Smith lower himself to this anyways? Lots of bros. in this band.
  4. Pride of Cucamunga! Wikked saw Phil and Friends do this a few years back in N.Y. state. Lazy river road too! I like that they are reaching beyond the obvious for tunes to fill out the setlist.
  5. I saw the Willie Nelson/Ray Price show last night at Maseey Hall last night and Billy Bob Thorton and his band the Boxmasters opened. What a douche. He showed no movement or emotion when he sand, made a couple wise cracks to the audience and played the drums in a very boring display to end the performace. The whole show was way too loud and the first four songs sounded identical. His band also had 3 electric guitars and one acoustic guitar to front it. It took that many people on stage to make him sound decent. Boring! At the end of the show he said.."I'm going out to have a smoke now...they really fucked that up didn't they." After that Ray Price and Willie Nelson blew him off stage showing him how you put on a show.

  7. Seymor-Hoffman is a great choice but I hope they do spend some time on his positive earlier years too. I hope it's not all doom and gloom. This could be disasterous.
  8. Wow! He doesn't even look liek the same guy in that first pic. He looks all healthy and non painkiller/coked/drunked-out. Looking good.
  9. I used to manage a Cannabis/seed culture shop for 7yrs and we regularly sold THC test cleansers to many people, truck drivers, military, cops etc.. The Deal is this.. THC is in your system for 30 dyas from the last time you smoke, at least as is detected by a urine test. The fool-proof way is stop smoking for one month. If you cannot do that then you need to purchase one of many detox drinks. Off the top of my head "Urine Luck" and "Stip" were very good seller and successful, as no one ever came back failed to complain. Basically the drink do not really detox you, they coat your stomach and digestive track for a period of hours and do not allow the toxins to pass in your urine. Usually you have to drink 2 oz glasses of water, then drink the detox, then urinate again and then you are covered for a period of 5hrs. Urine luck cleanser Strip cleanser you can get these products at most good headshops. Good Luck.

  13. Real shame he was a legens and one of the few true bluesmen that could hold his own in the Jazz idiom. Check this classic album..

  15. Mel Brown in a jazz-blues legend who has played with all the greats. Get well Mr.Brown
  16. One problem Phish like the Dead are banned from Red Rocks by the town. So maybe not...
  17. Likely what will happen is this... Set 1 opener: Curtain with Set 2 closer: YEM What I would liek to see: Set 1: Foreplay (Boston cover which they have played and features the vocal "..it's been such a long time.." Set 2 closer: Reelin in the years (Steely Dan Cover) P.S. this will never happen.
  18. Just went to thier site and listened to the new music. Much better and in line with thier first ground breaking album. It features a Parliament sample so they are on the right track. I think the second album was on a major label and that messed them up.
  19. Hmm. Well their first album (melody AM) was tech-house genius. Thier second album was totally unlistenable weak, lite vocal dance crap. Perhaps they have returned to their roots. I really wanna like them again.

  21. Thanks. I have enough music, but I lost some rare tracks that are not easily replaced at all. Need to find a program.
  22. Hi All, Recently I was organizing some audio files in my collection and somehow I accidentally deleted a huge chunk of key .flac, .wav and .mp3 files. I know there are many data recovery programs out there but can any of you recommend a good one. If I have to pay for it I want it to work, although freware would be best. Any suggestions? Help a brother out!
  23. Nice she is a soul legend. Sharon Jones owes her a lot.
