  1. Why does Toronto constantly get players who start out promising and either are totally injured forever or leave due to bad management and personality rifts... see.. Tracy MCGrady Vince Carter Hakeem Olajawan Rafer Alston TJ Ford Alanzo Morning Jermain O'Neil I'm sure there's more too.. Seems epidemic
  2. I have never seen such a flip-flop in my life. Steven Harper is so desperate to cling to power he will do anything. I think it's pretty pathetic that it takes the threat of a coalition government for him to do anything for the average and disadvantaged Canadians. The budget is an improvement, but I'm not sure if it is enough. What do you guys think?
  3. I think Jackie did hit the mark with this blog post. I feel the exact same way. This is why people will pay $136 or whatever to see even a glimpse of that, 30 later with only part of the original band. The legacy is large and what they did in their prime will never be tarnished no matter what happens now. It's history.
  4. I just booked 2 rooms at the Super 8 in Delvan WI (about 21 min, from Apline Valley) for $80ea +tax on Priceline. This is the closest and cheapest deal I could find. Get in while you still can...
  5. :content: :content: :content: :content: I got 2 tix for Deer Creek aka Verizon Wireless Center, and 2 tix for each night of Alpine Valley!! BITCHIN'!!!
  6. It is it time for rebuild #15 since the teams inception, yet? God this is awful and depressing. If this keeps up Bosh is gone just like Carter and McGrady. I also wouldn't blame him. Who wants to waste thier career loosing on a team that can never pull it togetehr and a front office that doesn't get it. Also who thinks Jermaine O'neil is Hakeen Olajawan pt.2? It's looking that way...Scarry! [color:purple]BRING BACK JYD! HAAHAHA!!!
  7. There are a few things I agree on here. 1. That was a terrible, weak and limp performace 2. It is time for Bobby to trim that nasty Teen Wolf-Grizzly Adams/Lanny McDonald 'srach beard combo. It's gross and had been going on for far too long. 3. When Bob Wears shorts he plays better..simple fact. Finally, I have heard the Grateful Dead with Garcia play equally as bad. This is nothing new. you never know what you are getting with the dead and it has been that way since 1965.
  8. He also uses Human Growth Hormone so don't feel so bad.
  9. Makes the Bonnaroo rumor seem all the more possible.
  10. Here's a playlist with a selection of the type of grooves you can expect at the party! GET DOWN! Priceless Audio/SWEETBACK!
  11. [color:purple]Cool but will Barrack have enough money left over from his campaign to get in? I imagine the service charges for this gig will be crazy! P.S. Can we start a petition for Bobby to trim down the beard! Really it's too much he looks like Lanny McDonald on crack! I think there are opossums living in there.
  12. clearly' date=' from their experience in putting on herculean events.[/quote'] That too... [color:purple]Watch for the next Chameleon Project tour where play 28,000 seaters and we'll be selling tickets for $300.oo with V.I.P access to our backstage and take home souvenirs of our sweat towels.. Ticket info soon.
  13. Basically we took the price tiers per show and looked up the capacity for each show and extimated on a near sell-out basis (which may not be the case). When you do that you come up with about 2 million and change per show before you add in merch sales. Even if they don't sell-out it is well over a million a show easily. We used industry standard production costs and venue charges to figure out rough costs.
  14. FYI: Myself and the Jaydawg sat down last night and did the math on how much the Dead stand to make vs. costs etc... Approximately it breaks down like this: 2.3 million per show 40 million for the tour + Merch sales say 1.5 million So the gross would be approx. 41.5 million... After production costs, taxes, venue fees etc... I am guessing each member walks away with 2-3 million... This is the money they need to live out their days...that's my guess... P.S. I agree MoMack, I having seen the GRATEFUL DEAD, like you, makes the whole thing even harder to swallow...this certianly ain't the Grateful Dead anymore. Kind of ironic when you think about it they dropped Grateful from thier name and are acting less "Grateful" to their fans all the time.
  15. This is how many of us feel...so sad..but on point. --Dead fan rant over high ticket prices--
  16. Neil Young at Massey Hall was magical and cost much more. April will get here and the cost will (hopefully) be forgotten. I know it worked that way for me at Neil Young. There is a massive difference here. Massey hall only holds 2,800, the HSBC arena holds 18,690! So in the case of Neil Young it makes more sense to have to charge more to defray the cost of a limited capacity venue. In the case to the Dead the are charging more than ever in a place bigger than they have played since 1995... Super Gouge!
  17. after a year of waiting it's back....THE SWEETBACK! RETURNS! The baddest rare disco and funk monthly in Toronto is on again at the very dance friendly Augusta house. Expect great people, great vibes and the illest grooves you never heard. "rest up that booty you gonna need it! 18. I bought a ticket to Buffalo and after service charge and exchange is came to $132,oo! Unbelievable, really soured on the whole deal. I agree I like warren but sometimes he's too straight blues and not jazzy/funky enough for my tastes.. I am sure I enjoy the show though.
  19. I would love to see it all including the turntable if it was someone musical like KId Koala.
  20. Wow what a terrible system and terrible gouging! This whole experience has really soured me on the remaining DEAD. I mean I just bought 3 tickets for Buffalo in the 100's and each ticket had approx. $20 service/shipping charge when you work it out. After the US exchange that works out to $132.00/per ticket!! I guess they must be thinking this is their last chance to cash in before they retire... Too bad they weren't thinking about all the fans that have supported their existence for 30+ years.. Brutal! Can't wait for Phish!
  21. It's like Fleetwood Mac all over again! GRRRRRR~! :susel:
  22. I am shocked they are charging this much for tickets in this economy... Very dissapointed.
  23. I hear ya! But stranger things have happened.
  24. That is a monster tour! 3 nights in Deer Creek then 2 nights in Apline Valley with a night in Detroit to end it off!??!! And a Toronto date! Man oh man! I gotta get planning.
