  1. I was thinking today that there are many bands I love today that my Dad used to like and play around the house and as a child I thought sucked. As I have gotten older I now see the genius in many of the same bands and love them... So who are the bands you love now as an adult that you hated or did not understand as a kid?

  5. Almost no boogie room. Expect to be standing to watch or sitting for the show. That is how it has been for me at every show there.
  6. I knew this kind of knee jerk NRA response was coming. Of course if the campus police can't protect us then we'll all have to pack guns... To follow that logic then if airport security can't protect us from hijackings then we'll all have to pack guns on planes..... The right to bear arms also means the right to be afraid for your life 24-7.

  10. Damn! Watta a show, the best Umphrey's show I've seen yet. Highlight: the cover of the Police's "When the world is running down" with Darren Shearer from the New Deal on drums!

  14. Agreed. If George Bush wasn't in power and such a right wing nutjob Harper would look even worse. It is obvious that he does not want to commemorate the charter as it does not suit his view of a conservative/fascist society... yeah I'm exaggerating but that cocksuker gets me steamed all the time...
  15. Excellent point and on that note I saw yo at the Galactic show in T.O. on Saturday and he was as I expected sweaty, bearded wearing guatamalan pants and selling heady nugs right outside the venue!' ' Love that guy!
  16. Question then how do the content makers continue to survive and make more content for the system. For without content you really have nothing. Seems like the content providers are painting themselves into a corner out of sheer ignorance and naivety.
  17. Perhaps it's the bubbler hit, but I was thinking what about a Jambands.ca mascot. A character that could be used as a logo and make surprise appearances at various jambands shows like Polkaroo. You could even have a where's waldo type spin off, or capture the mascot at shows.... ...Kind of like the Toronto Raptor but way less hyper wearing patchwork shorts, telling you where to find kind torrent links and selling heady goo-balls... What would you want to see as a potential Jambands.ca mascot?
  18. Hey gang, I need a good tag editor to help manage my collection. I need to be able to process groups of files/tags in batch and add pics etc.... Also all my files are FLAC so FLAC compatibility is paramount.... Suggestions?

  20. Oops. I forgot that part of the game...I do not pass go and go directly to jail.... ,,on with the game....
  21. Didn't something similar just happen in Canada? Gun restrictions are nice but it's pretty tough to stop one individual hell bent on terror. I agree with AD. True. Canada does have it's own homegrown gun tragedies and school rampages but with dramatically less frequency the US. Seems in Canada we get one incident every 5 yrs or so and in the US it's every few months. I think it is directly correlated to gun access.
  22. How do you get the ignore to work? I went into it in my control panel and I can't seem to add a user to my list. What is the technique? I'm all excited to ignore.
  23. Theme: Songs by artists underappreciated by this generation. 1. Leornard Cohen - Hallelujah 2. Leon Russell - Roll Away The Stone 3. Elvis Costello - (The Angels Wanna Wear My) Red Shoes 4. Hello It's Me- Todd Rundgren 5. Patience of a Working Man - Willie P. Bennett 6. Paul Pena - Gotta Move 7. Miss Sun- Boz Scaggs 8. 9. 10. 11. 12.
  24. I agree. And this is the sad price you pay for having the right to bear arms in your constitution... The easy access to guns in the US has to stop or this type of tragedy will keep happening.
