This is how the officating works now: They miss big obvious call... the refs get the call/signal from upstairs/"The war room in Toronto", and they make it up with smaller calls for wussy infractions like hooking. Looks like the 4 straight 3rd period penalties for the Ducks may of been influence by Prongers antics. So looks like I might not watch the game tonight. Buffalo Game 5- Me at Come Together. Close it out Stanley Cup - Me at Boat Cruise. Actually win!?! Me picking up the G-friend at the Subway... Ottawa scores: 1-0 against the Ducks Me in the washroom - Saprykin Scores game winner. I consider it a gift to the team... I figure instead I'll just meditate and try to get my chakra's in order.

Ah... crazy Kirk. Didn't see it happen... but I watched him get a stip tore off him (figuratively) back at the camp fire. FTR I didn't even believe he did it (thought he was talking out of his ass)... but when Cjamson confirmed it along with his disappointment, I was a little shocked. What a great time other than that. Got to sleep before the cops showed up... Marges' "Did someone get shot?" query to the cops was priceless when I heard about it the next day! Good work 'disaster reflector'! The music on the boat was fantastic. Any specific attention to any player at anytime showed that they were all at the top of their game. The weather co-operated... and I got wasted. It was all topped off nicely with a cool cool dip into the vastly shallow Georgian Bay, but was it oh so very nice!

Snuggling. What can you say. I watch the game and I love the Ducks. They are a great team to watch. I have man love for Getzlaf. Still hate Pronger but... oh well. And it's not for lack of effort from Ottawa... but it's like Anaheim is throwing a wall up... quite content to play a simple and rough gameplan. I said before the start of the series to my 'pa that even down 0-2 Ottawa will still have a chance to come back and win. Hopefully playing at home will give them the edge they need and it'll be Ottawa squeeking out with a couple of one goal wins, and we can start "over" again. Still proud as hell at this team... and it's not over yet.

Good first game. Not great, but they did have a chance to win, so that's okay. They'll play a better game 2, but gotta give Anaheim credit. It'll be a great accomplishment if the Sens can get past Anaheim! Go Sens. I still believe!
