haha i missed this myself! i passed out after eating a rack of Ribfest. al green was meh...cheesy as expected and fun to see but nothing to write home about. the john henrys on the other hand, rocked! one of the better JH shows i've seen. good stuff.

i really enjoyed stanley clarke's 'section' of the show at the end.

fortunately, the weather will be much more pleasant in october! should be perfect! i wonder how long until they announce it. with the save the date thing, seems like it could be weeks.

we went to a place called Gus's, which is just as you enter East Troy town (alpine valley) on the 120. it was like a drive-in diner style with awesome shakes and burgers. we sat at the covered picnic tables and admired the cars pulling in, a lotus, el camino, and other cool old cars. Yummy.

velvet brought me some ribs from Bibb's today, and they were yummy! what a guy.

my sources tell me phish will play at the Coachella site over Halloween. (which is near palm springs)

Both were fun shows...I agree I loved the first night. Second night was more jammy but not my favourite tunes as much. I thought it was a great time all around! Our hotel was silly though (dont' stay at Country Inn!)

i ate at the pelican once but it absolutely reeks like a fish market in there (it is) kinda turned me off!

my favourite new tune is Stealing time from the faulty plan. it rocks.
