  1. So...I just found out that I have a chronic metabolic disorder. My thyroid is dead. My auto-immune system killed it. I've missed a lot of work and am on the verge of being out of work. If I'm even late again I am out of a job. I've had numerous meetings and have been told that I am a great employee. This is my only issue. I'm not asking for health remedies but am open to the idea. Any job opportunities out there? Maybe I shouldn't be a desk jockey?
  2. too bad I don't have any SRV cause I sure do have a towel.
  3. It's all good. Great weekend up the coast, reminiscent of That Place. Going up the coast makes me want to move out of the city. Dangerous vacations. Hope you come back around again and we cross paths. It's much nicer when Vancouver is sunny.
  4. I am only concerned as I quote... "I just nosomewhow got the bold thing goin on and I can't backspace cuz that's the rule so tjhe rest will be bold...sooo....sunday, nice stuff and tdrunk. work on mondya blah blah blha...still bold, eh?" It's been awhile and I feel like I've been in a fog for years. It's lifting these days and Lynn's in town. Some friends are going up the Sunshine Coast to party with Papa Josh this weekend. There may be space in the car for another couple of people. It's already Thursday...I think it'd be great to get her out of the city if she's into it. Does anybody want to pass the vibe onto Lynn? "Papa Josh is a seasoned funk, jazz and r&b guitarist with a powerful voice and an instinct for making music feel good. His new solo show features rhythm guitar loops and spontaneous percussion performed in the moment and layered into the groove by Papa's magic disco machine. The sound is all Josh and it all happens live, but it is indeed "the machine" that grants Papa Josh the freedom to launch into blistering guitar explorations and maintain a one-man-only dance party. This is a one of a kind show. It's sweaty, dance inspired, turn you on and keep you moving kind of music. It is the flame that keeps burning when the world turns cold. *** Papa Josh has performed with Arturo Sandoval, Garaj Mahal, Jeff Sipe (Aquarium Resuce Unit, Leftover Salmon), Bryan Jordan (Karl Denson), Frank Wess, Alonzo "Pookie" Johnson, John Staton (Karl Denson), Fareed Haque, and Dan Nimmer (Wynton Marsalis) and he has opened for Spearhead, Karl Denson, Robert Walter, The Isley Brothers, Liquid Soul, Oteil Burbridge, George Porter and more while touring the US and Canada with San Francisco's progressive funk-rock unit, Global Funk."
  5. "Isn't it in his signature?" Oh Hells Yeah!
  6. I would need really big arms to make that work...
  7. "...oh and I'd give "The Bold" a call, dude is fuckin' aces and my main party pal on the west coast. " Is she callin'?
  8. saw em at the Plaza club here in Van with a boring crowd. they still ripped it up. great band!
  9. Unfocused? It's entirely intentional. I saw them first at Lees for the Up in Flames tour. they played in sequence and have huge arrangements for samples, guitar, 2xdrums, and vocals. this time through they havbe a bass player and sound waaaay more 60's psych pop. they're doing their own thing and are well worth any efforts the chameleon will urge you to save.
  10. dude...no phonecall... I was sick yesterday too. Glad to be better now.
  11. www.aptera.com - my favourite new car. 300MPG on hybrid engine. FWIW, you have the advantage to purchase any number of great used cars that would essentially mean that you wouldn't rape our world of more valuable resources to make a brand new car. Why not buy a nice used passat wagon TDI?
  12. Your old phone number doesn't work I'm never on facebook Send me a text message and I'll give you a call.
  13. What a difficult question when it comes down to it, Shain - really easy to glaze over in complacency - but if seriously examined, it's a handful. Let's see...I haven't worked at the same job this long since I was at the Beer Store, which is great. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful loving girlfriend - and again, the longest standing romance since 2001(and its subsequent trail). I've been making great friends, battling personal demons and the bulge (yes I still wear sweatpants from time to time), and developing professionally. Music takes second seat to sleep, food, work, and chillin more times than not but I have been lucky enough to play more lately than in the past year. I played a halloween Party this past weekend with an old Fat Cat(Tyler's still hittin' it) and hope to find time to keep some ghoulies groovin'. Although we had some lofty goals that fell through, it's probably best they have. A crackhead stole my computer and I only recently saw your Iceland trip. Way to go. Hoping you make it this way sometime...
  14. I look forward to seeing these guys hit up a mainland show soon.
  15. I think it's great how she opens really wide for that Mantis and really chews it with her teeth. Look at that little smirk on her face. 'yummy'
  16. I thought you had a buddy that works at air canada...
  17. good times with some amazing tunes. I'd go if I were you.
  18. I bet a load of Chinese people would say 'China Company' Hong Kong isn't really all that autonomous anymore.
  19. Freaked you out? I tend to figure people ignore me when I post on here but to reiterate, I am on the fence...It's either going to be interesting to watch this all happen to us or it's going to be interesting to see people rise up and fight their own governments and countrymen in a worldwide civil war. Are we going to be under somebody's thumb or are we going to bite that fucker back? www.zeitgeistmovie.com It'll really make a lot of people rethink their understanding of God and Authority. Not so much freaky...but definitely flooring in many ways.
  20. I've been a member of a union and it did very little for me (beer store). If I had a trade I'd appreciate the unions. If I were in Healthcare or a Teacher I'd most likely resent my union. Upholding minimums is generally inefficient, while setting maximums can be restrictive. Rules often are there for a reason, but when admin is forced to work differently, there is generally some kind of resentment. I'd hate to get 'checked up on' if i was doing a good job and poked and prodded every time a worker wanted to complain and waste my time. From what it seems to me, I'm with Traveller on this. Best of luck dude. It sounds like the China Company needs to have some good rules to follow.
