  1. a bump for the evening shift can't beat free
  2. 5 Aug 2007 20:00 Georges Sackville, New Brunswick 13 Sep 2007 20:00 The Casbah Hamilton, Ontario 15 Sep 2007 20:00 Lee's Palace Toronto, Ontario 5 Oct 2007 20:00 Barrymores Ottawa, Ontario 7 Oct 2007 20:00 TBA / Pop Montreal Montreal, Quebec and like \/\/illy summoned it with his beautiful mind... the Hamilton show is at the closest bar to his humble home... tickets $12, went on sale Monday
  3. saw this posted over on Stillepost and thought I'd share the word on here... organized by good Dave Kuruc
  4. having Conan say your country has zero sex appeal is kind of like having Keith Richards tell you you do too many drugs
  5. yeah, totally killer show last night... Watermelon Slim tore the place up best free show you'll likely ever catch tonight heading down again for sure... do it!
  6. right ons! thanks for sharing that doing something worthwhile, learning lots and many prospects for adventure... like the stuff in books... awesome pics... slave colony looks like a heavy visity seems like taking a guide to the more remote locales is recommended on the travel shows but you're the best judge for that keep up the good work, if you get time let us know what its like out in the rural areas cheers your way (and to the good people at IDRC)
  7. as always with these things is tough to really judge when you don't know the people or the situation first hand... the goal of tabloid news sources is to get people excited enough to read the story
  8. I enjoy challenges/new things so figure why not... soon as I can afford one will grab myself a Mac (for graphics work, sound and video)... am actually starting off with a nice stable Red Hat Enterprise build so not exactly putting the whole O/S together myself from scratch either look at Windows to Linux like switching from automatic to shift stick... a little more work at first but more control in the corners once you get a feel for it
  9. pretty sure its all over here's another priceline site Bidding for Travel (think this one more gives an idea what going rates are)
  10. someone recommended this site a while back (haven't spent any time on it myself) Priceline and Hotwire Forums
  11. was actually an automatic update that kept hanging up half way through (figure I had the wrong service shut off to let it do its thing... am really past caring... setting up a linux machine in the basement right now... run one of each for a bit and see what I likes better (have a feeling it won't be the one that likes to sneak surprise blue screens into my day occasionally)) turned off automatic updates, let the Live Maps installation remove the .NET half install and it worked no problem... if you have the latest .NET 2.0 security upgrade already up and running doubt you'd run into the same situation
  12. local listings... MAKER'S MARKET @ Christ's Church Cathedral (252 James St. N.) -- 10am-4pm :: Free TEENAGE HEAD, guests @ Casbah -- 9PM -- 19+ :: $18/$20 NOW-AGAIN RE:SOUNDS CD Release Feat.   13. just look crazy and say your bracelet is in "the van" (never fails)
  14. wrote on le website that doors are at 7, show starts at 8 guess you'd figure Slim would hit the stage around 9/9:30, 10 at the latest (figure just after 9) puts on a great show, I'll be there
  15. true to form had to uninstall my last .NET framework installation to allow the microsoft plugin to finish installing but yeah, the neato
  16. would say Alexis should definitely get advance price for Slim on day of for the pointing out tis true both of these shows are pretty killer for a Mon and a Tues
  17. Sharon Jones laid a solid lip lock on me after a show *swoon* super sweet individual to talk too her and the Dap Kings are definitely one sick act
  18. looking down at my house from above is more exciting from live maps (and am sure GoogleMaps has an update on that feature upcoming) but if I'm wondering how to get "wherever there is" and go searching its still google maps no question
  19. found it a little confusing to get around at first, but is well done... the "aerial" views feature is really sharp, would say the graphics in this area are definitely superior (to Google Maps "Satellite") kinda hate when Microsoft does something right... besides the slickly done interface, not plastering their name all over the site is a stroke of genius =) http://maps.live.com/ (so how come more operating system doesn't run this smoothly?)
  20. definately a top notch Fat Cats show, lots of "wow!"... always a bit of an extra treat when Tyler's in town, but even moreso Sat night kudos to the band and the crowd... good times (very lookin forward to that recording \/\/illy, thanks for capturing it)
