  9. yeah, its worth figuring out a little bit your registry and (if you don't have a continuing license you're using) removing anything out of there relating to the previous installation before installing the new also a good working policy if you have a failed install then try to re-install with nero I use the Express too... simpler, quicker
  10. could very well be Alabama, I really just took a glance online was mostly agreein with KanadaKev that I'm a little hesitant when it comes to upgrading to new software these days... besides unironed out bugs, sometimes I just find I'm more comfortable with the older versions of some programs as usual probably offering too much philosophy and too little practical help
  11. soon as you posted this I Googled it, seems you're not the only one having the disc-at-once problem... read a couple of people's forum pleas for help but no one had posted the solution yet
  12. apperently the shooter started in the dorms around 7:45am and then 2 hours later opened up in the classrooms seems utterly crazy they opened up classes with a gunman on the loose... students say they weren't warned
  13. not knowing anyone there personally I'm sad but not devastated, whats done is done... though my heart definatly goes out to anyone involved feel like the only thing I could possibly contribute it is to speculate upon the possible cause(s)

  16. last time something like this happened to me the venue told me the tickets would be waiting in willcall (at the venue)... lo and behold so they were (like AD said while I was typing) if you have a print out of your credit card transaction I'd keep that handy if you've paid I'm sure you'll get in... the promoter should be at the show if you can't find them beforehand
  17. has nothing to do with 'country' - people are people and unfortunately this happens everywhere on larger and smaller scales. seems like it happens pretty frequently now whereas I can't remember any school rampages from a 80 years or more ago... personally I think its a modern social condition very sad whatever the cause

  22. to quote Douglas Brinkley from Rolling Stone (who put it well) "In the annals of American literature, Vonnegut has been categorized as a black-humorist -- a post-Hiroshima novelist who encouraged readers to laugh at the ghastly absurdity of the modern condition. More than any other fiction writer, Vonnegut has been unafraid to peer into the apocalyptic abyss of our lives."
  23. thanks for a lot of interesting thoughts and genuine enjoyment Mr. Vonnegut
