  2. that Andy Kaufman knew how to treat a lady
  3. Chemical Romance: The Hour's List of the Top Five household chemicals that could kill you. (click on the video window on the page)
  4. a pleasure to be of service a couple of months ago George Stroumboulopoulos off The Hour had a list of 5 toxic chemicals used in everyday products that scientists were petitioning the Canadian government to ban, or at least strictly regulate... having some trouble finding the list (2 or 3 of the 5 are already listed in this thread) did find this on The Hour's blog though:
  5. TOXIC TOYS - San Francisco prepares to ban certain chemicals in products for kids the European Union has already done so another thing to watch for is products that have been fire-proofed (contain PBDEs) PBDEs: They are everywhere, they accumulate and they spread - Chemical flame retardants pose threat to humans, environment
  6. haha, nice avatar phishtaper
  7. you using Firefox? if so using any web script limiting add-ons like 'NoScript'? if so tell NoScript (or related add-on) to allow jambands.ca... had a brief problem with that a while back otherwise maybe a firewall/internet security setting?
  8. already posted a birthday happy in the Slip Forum but... Happy Birthday Laurie!! knock em dead kiddo!
  9. ghost prisons for terrorists = yes, fact proven over and over... terrible, wrong, needs to be changed ghost prisons will be changed by something to do with fans of hip hop rising up? sorry... don't see it in the slightest sounds like the way my brain was thinking last time I was on meth, like I could talk for 10 centuries... basically all total crap that, at the time, I thought made perfect sense (after which promised myself never to touch the meth again as could practically smell my crossed wires burnin) fans of hip hop dreamin of owning some gold and diamond jewellry, a few hot vehicles, expensive clothes and the biggest house on block? = more likely cheers to the hip hop crowd... if the music's good I dance
  10. ... whenever I ... 1) need a good laugh 2) want to enter a bizzare world of confusion 3) want to take a few minutes to breathe, in between high-stress work. 4) Promote shows, or to find out what I'm doing this weekend! 5) Want to share a funny or interesting internet video clip 6) want to be challenged around things I would otherwise take for granted (Politics being these days the first forum I routinely check out) 7)can't go to the zoo and prefer to imagine what the "animals" look like anyway 8) Need to make a few notes on the effects of technology on over-opinionated hippies for my sociology thesis 9) Wake up groggy, then check the climate of the site as would a horoscope

    Quebeclog

love Quebec City a lot... in my mind is a perfect role model for Canadian cities... more European, less American
  12. right on dude... thanks for the updates, sounds just awesome definately gotta get over to that corner of the world one day soon
  13. didn't entirely not like it... just felt it was spotty... on and off... I'd be into it then all of a sudden blurt "oh... come on." haven't written it off by any means... if they don't sharpen up I may have to write the producers a stern note of reprimand
  14. definatly been loads of great hip hop come along... krs one was one of the top 5 shows I've ever seen... like early punk or early techno I'm partial to the pure level of the art born out of desperate kids who create an honest means of expessing themselves... kinda makes me sick when every music awards show I see these days is just shoving the hip hop down your throat understand there's a lot of philosophy behind the movement, but at the end of the day hip hop is a style of music and is going to overthrow america as much as funk/soul/motown or the hippies did... which is to say not much outside of making a small portion of society a hell of a lot of money... along with inspiring a demographic of a generation of society to attempt to re-create themselves (a good thing) but they'll eventually go back to work... once everyone's a gangsta suddenly gangstas become real boring... and money trumps ideology, kills it
  15. yeah, had my eyes rollin a few times last night over predictable things and just bad writing... hopefully everyone is a little rusty and need to sleep off their money hungover... hope that success doesn't kill the quality have to say though that I laughed out loud when Julian burned out of the parkin lot with smokin tires... really cheesy, but enough so that it was pretty funnny
  16. Theme: Songs About The Sanctuary (This theme is very loosely defined, and very much open to interpretation; but if any players don't understand why the song is about The Sanctuary, they can ask you about it, meaning that your song-choice may be open to challenge, so be prepared to defend it...) 1. The Circle Jerks - I Just Want Some Skank 2. The Doors - People are Strange 3. The Slip - Sorry 4. Diesel Dog - Chico 5. Bob Dylan - Disease Of Conceit 6. The Cult - She Sells Sanctuary 7. J. Geils Band - Sanctuary 8. 9. 10. 11. 12.
