  1. The next day after my stag party in the summer, I believe I had "all of the above".
  2. To each his own. Hockey can be pretty damned boring too.
  3. Now you look like you could be a member of ANY indie band working today.
  4. Only if we warm up at the New York Cafe
  5. I've heard a few of their tunes. Not bad stuff.
  6. I'm off that night and the night before, making a Sister's show a possibility.
  7. It was painful to watch, but worth it since it dragged the drug guy out to what he really is.
  8. Will you accept only Booche' date=' or could we work out some sort of equivalent/exchange rate for Ottawa skanks? Aloha, Brad[/quote'] His trip to Toronto would include staying at my place, making seeing Umphrey's a good night out. Other than that, I don't know the band and wouldn't venture out on my own. My wife certainly wouldn't be interested in coming with me to the show - neither would my friends here. None of them here know the band.
  9. I'll go if I'm off and Booche makes it down for the Opera House show.
  10. It wasn't a great show, but I think it was a cool segment with Oshawa.
  11. I'm looking forward to Chris being assigned a role-player role. Detroit picked up this prima donna, so they'll reap what they sew.
  12. I hate the Generals. I was born to hate them... and I speak for all born and bred Kingston Canadians/Raiders/Frontenacs fans. I hate them almost as much as the Belleville Bulls. And I know: We Kingston fans have suffered a great deal over the years.
  13. If you missed it, try to catch a repeat later tonight or tomorrow (check your listings on the Comedy Network). Colbert had a segment on the OHL where he ripped the Oshawa Generals and GM Canada. God love a man that rips the Oshawa Generals.
  14. I may have to send it off to your oldest son tomorrow for a once-over. He knows nero specifics more than I do.
  15. Fuck, this is terrible. One thing to hope for is that lung cancer isn't the kiss of death like it once was - although it's still one of the worst cancers to get. I've got my fingers crossed. My friend is a lung cancer survivor for almost 10 years now.
  16. My "official" nero review isn't going well. I'm thinking of scrapping it, maybe because I found the nights so void of distractions musically, that the gigs felt like seeing nero in their heyday.
  17. Yeah he played the big football star with the fancy car that gets wrecked. (I just watched the movie two days ago) It's crazy to see how far actors like Forrest and Sean Penn have come since that movie. Not to mention Nick Cage, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Eric Stoltz, Ray Walston (although he was already famous), Vincent Schiavelli and Anthony Edwards. Too bad for the latter-day careers of Judge Reinholt, Phoebe Cates, Robert Romanus and Brian Backner, the last two being the stars of the movie. Best high school movie ever.
  18. It's been a bad couple of days in the jazz world. R.I.P..
  19. I liked that I wasn't distracted by a band struggling to get back some of the old magic. I don't think it ever left.
  20. The Mothers incarnation featuring both Brecker brothers was one of Frank's most accomplished and best. Go out and buy Zappa in New York... immediately!
  21. Welcome. I'm sure StoneMtn would have introduced me to you, if only he recongnized me
  22. I just watched the first episode of Rome's second season that premiered last night on TMN. It was fantastic. I'm ashamed that I didn't mention it earlier.
  23. Battlestar Galactica Deadwood Rescue Me
