  1. Schwa - 2 things. One: you see that Umphry's is opening for Panic in Columbus. You going? Two: how do you know Panic's new album is bad? Its not even out yet. There are at least 3 songs from rotation that are good. (and here's where I admit that I have listened to the album and well, I'm sure it'll grow on me).
  2. And are there any hotels nearby?
  3. First off, on your math, I should save at least 2 dollars by the time they close the bar. Second, despite understanding how banking works, it still kills me that the dollar can be at par, and when I exchange money I loose 2% (or whatever the fuck RBC charges me). Third, ever see that credit card cash back commercial where the chick says to the other chick "ya I got 1% back mother fucker, what did you get?" and hearing thatthe other chick looks like a complete fool. Well, I'll take my 5% off my over priced tall boy thank you very much. (they are over priced right?).
  4. Anyone been to THe Great Hall before? I don't know it....
  5. Wait - tall boys at par? Will this be for Furthur too? Thats great news!

    Allgood help

Anyone ever done Allgood? Any tips? The camping is not near vehicles I guess... is it laid out well? Easy to get around and in/out? Can you get back to your car easily to keep the valuables locked up there etc? Are the VIPs worth it? Anything else you can tell me?
  7. 2 things. One, although I don't like Starbucks, they do deserve credit for using 5% or more fair trade coffee in all their shops. None of the other commercial coffee houses do that to my knowledge (Tims, Timothy's, Second Cup etc. etc.) Second, does anyone know an east end place to get roasted beans comprable to Kickinghorse for under the $15/pound K-horse costs? That would be great...
  8. Your team is in first place and your'e getting rid of tickets!!! Wowzers!!! I'd be all over it if I wasn't going tonight. Thanks benevolent ticket-goddess (aka you).
  9. Anyone check this out: http://www.bonnaroo.com/totalaccess/Default.aspx.com Watch the vid. Looks like the way to go. No prices listed... just wish there were more people I wanted to see at Roo this year.
  10. Furthur will get added I bet... there is always more dead there. They probably just have to wait because Furthur announced the Furthur fest this week and want to sell those first... I may be wrong, but I think GOTV has a huge "guaranteed" crowd. ie. the Terrapin Station folks and old timers from upstate and NYC are going to be there every year regardless of lineup. Its the festival as much as the acts (which is how I've always thought of Hillside, for example).
  11. Too bad but hey, Russo will keep them straight. This got me looking at the website and the setlists I hadn't checked out. Looks sort of like by CO/OR they got a little more into the "formula" which is great I think!
  12. I didn't see the hit on the tv - only the clip in this thread... but I have to say - it doesn't look like a suspension to me. It does look like Savard was leaned over, finishing his shot, head down, turning/going sideways. Cooke got him when he wasn't looking but it didn't look like he picked his elbow up. In that clip it looked more like Savard's head happened to be elbow level and got caught. This is the NHL. They're supposed to have their heads up and when they don't they're dead meat. Stevens made a career out of it. Sure shoulder is better, but if a guy has his head down he has his head down. Go back to peewee. Now if the elbow is lift/lead with, if there is a jump/charge or something else, then sure call it, but incidental contact with the head. pff. (and I realize they're going to change the rule to outlaw hitting the head - I like the elbow pad change ideas more. The game is too quick to stop a hit midway because someone bent over and got their head in the way)
  13. ... on that note - did you read Lefsetz piece on Thom Yorke (sp?) not selling out, and Miley Cyruss not seling out - all because you had to swipe your credit card at the gate, illiminating the scalper market. People that normally "sell-out" not even coming close... Aside from maybe the very first shows after hiatius / reunions etc., who has ever had a hard time getting a phish ticket? Maybe the one or two shows in Burlington at the Flynt. (or is it Flynn)
  14. Funny stuff... he seems to not stay with it at times but then ends up back on track eventually... wonder what it'd be like to sit at the kitchen table and put back a few pints. Teleprompter?
  15. For anyone thats slow there are still tickets in row T of the Grand Tier on the right and left sides...
  16. I dropped the ball. Only 2econd tier right, way in the back and GA lawns left. 20,000 seat venue though... so there is no way it sells out...

    Olympiclog

Great read and a great game!
  18. You won't leave - the doc is in town that weekend too...
  19. I agreed that Nash should have shot at the time to get him going (but he did end up scoring anyways right?) But I agreed with what Pang said after the game - its a team sport, they are a team, and they're there to win. Check the egos at the door. The stats say Crosby is the best penalty shooter, Crosby shoots. End of story. Hopefully the coaches made that clear before the tournament even began.
  20. He only speaks with a psychological purpose. What he gets put in the paper may or may not be what he actually thinks.
  21. Willie and the bio-bus? Wait a minute - Panic has a bio-bus too and JB is a big greener.... DMB? They do it green right?
