The foundation of a clean room is a made bed. If the bed is made, an otherwise messy room looks a lot cleaner. If the bed is unmade, a clean room looks like crap.

Regardless of the "message" of his movies, Heston worked hard in favor of civil rights in the 50s and 60s ... it's just that his interpretation of civil rights included his particular definition of the 2nd ammendmant "Right To Bear Arms". I don't agree with his position on the last matter, but I just wanted to show there was more than one facet to the man.

Weirdly enough, I recently picked up a second hand copy of a live CD by Neil Finn & Friends ... among the "Friends" were Eddy and Liam . I never imagined an Eddy Vedder/Neil Finn link, but he did a pretty damned good job on some Split Enz classics.

I'm still annoyed that the Aretha Set (plus the stooges box and Crazy Horse CD) came and went when I had no money to get them. I am one of the lucky few to snag the complete Fillmore 69. Looks like this one and future ones will not be limited release, thank God.

Looks like I'm actually going to hit part of Jazz Festival this year.

Wasn't all that recently, but a few years ago there was a sort of biopic on the making of Gilligan's Island, with all of the then surviving cast members (Dawn Wells, Russell Johnson and Bob Denver who was still alive at the time) except for Tina Louise, Dawn Wells produced it and still looked pretty fine. Tina Louise, though, has looked profoundly ungood in the appearances outside of Gilligan that I have seen her in. I was always a Mary Ann man anyway.
