  1. From Ryan's Facebook page: Oh hey you guys, did you want more information on Live after Deaf ? OK. 144 tracks of live acoustic Ryan spread across 15 vinyl discs…with a download card featuring all 144 tracks PLUS an additional 74 digital-only bonus tracks (yup, that’s a total of 218 tracks) all in a heavyweight cloth box. Super Duper limited numbers available ONLY at http://paxamrecords.com/ beginning 1:30 p.m. EST on Friday, June 15. I'm sure it will be too expensive for me, but I know there are some record collectors/Ryan Adams fans out there!
  2. 2 on the floor for London...already thinking about pre-show beers :chug:
  3. For those of you interested in going to the London show: Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the John Labatt Centre 8:00pm One Day Cyber Club Presale: Begins: Thursday, June 14 @ 10am Ends: Thursday, June 14 @ 3pm Password: AMERICANA Ticket Prices (including FMF): $183.00, $103.00, $83.00, $75.00 (GA Floor only), $53.00 http://www.johnlabattcentre.com/
  4. I have two hard copy Radiohead tickets for their Downsview show in June. I ordered them from W.A.S.T.E. and they arrived yesterday. Just looking for face, which was around $160 (for both). I am in the Kitchener/Waterloo area if you want to exchange in person, otherwise we can work something out.
  5. I managed to get two for Downsview. It did seem like a bit of a clusterfuck though. My screen "froze" several times and the whole process took about 15 minutes (to go through like 3 screens). Also tickets seem to pop up every once and a while so you may want to check back throughout the day. I know some people who got tix about 30 minutes after they went onsale (and had been "sold out").
  6. Sorry I was making the assumption you were talking about Downsview, but the Montreal info is on the W.A.S.T.E. page too...
  7. Ticketmaster is doing the Live Nation Mobile App pre-sale: Ticketmaster And the W.A.S.T.E. presale: W.A.S.T.E. Presale The "On Sale March 8th" will turn into a buy tickets link at a random time on the 8th. I believe it usually happens in the morning, but I don't think there is a set time.
  8. So what is Downsview Park like? GA I assume? I was hoping for another Amphitheatre show, but on the plus side tickets should be a little easier to get.
  9. Did the same for Toronto. Couldn't justify going all in, but I definitely wanted t be there this time. For cheapos I got decent seats though. Facing the stage right in the centre... may be way up high, but I think it'll be a great place to see the show. Now the wait begins...
  10. Awesome. First record I ever owned. Birthday gift when I was about 6 years old from the coolest babysitter I ever had!
  11. Thanks for that NW...couldn't find a decent one. For those of you in the balcony...here is the seating plan for up there too: http://www.heritagetrust.on.ca/getattachment/The-Elgin-and-Winter-Garden-Theatre-Centre/Events/Box-Office-services/WG-Balcony-seating-plan.pdf.aspx
  12. Just chatting with a friend about that. She got pretty bad seats so she is going to have her husband try for tickets at the second pre-sale. That way it is a different credit card so they should be OK. I have a feeling though that the pre-sales are totally unrelated and it won't make a difference!
  13. Ended up with Row R in the orchestra...said it was sold out for 5 minutes, but I kept trying. Not the greatest seats, but friends ended up with far worse so I am satisfied. Thanks again to Bouche and Northern Wish for hooking us up with the pre-sale passwords!
  14. For the Toronto show it seems the Fan Club pre-sale is at 10 am, and the Live Nation pre-sale is for noon...so you can try for both.
  15. Thanks NW...just waiting to hear from the Pax-Am mailing list for that pre-sale code...that way I have three tries! I can't imagine there will be many pre-sales...It looks like the venue only holds 1000 or so. This may be a tough ticket! Any word on # of tickets allowed in the pre-sales?
  16. Just about to post that! You can also listen Ashes and Fire streaming right now on NPR: http://www.npr.org/2011/09/25/140640429/first-listen-ryan-adams-ashes-and-fire
  17. Well if you are looking for places to eat here are a couple...I did a quick Google map search and it looks like you may be going through Stratford. If so check out Boomers Gourmet Fries ( Map). Obviously good fries, but also burgers. And the owner is pretty hilarious. Pretty much just a counter, but definitely a great place. I have a feeling you may already know about most of the Waterloo restaurants, but Ethel's is still a great place for Tex-Mex (plus they have great deals on certain nights - Burgers on Mondays, and super cheap tacos on Tuesdays). Harmony Lunch on King is also a great old school diner (although I haven't been in years). That's about all I have...don't remember much about Grand Bend itself. It's been years and the memory is foggy.
  18. Check here: Wolfgangs Vault At least one on the first page (by Joe Sia) and here: The Banjo Years for an awesome Herb Greene photo
  19. 2nd and 1st row...nice score. Also nice to know the ticket prices were about the same. Looking at the Jays schedule for Sept 17th and it looks like they are playing the Yankees that afternoon. May have to make a day of it and catch the game!
  20. Ended up with 10th row for Massey Hall (Saturday only). I bought three tickets though so that may have pushed me back a little. It was a little pricey ($55 that came to about $62 per ticket I believe with service charges) and the tickets are listed on the Massey Hall website @ $48, but I went in figuring if I can get decent tickets I will pay the extra price. 10th row was good enough for me.
  21. I believe this is fake... Fake...but funny
  22. Downloaded this last night based on that trailer. Great show. The only other two recommendations that haven't been mentioned would be: The IT Crowd Eastbound & Down
  23. I'm all for it. It will be nice to hear some reinterpretation of the Dead's songs...even if it has been done before.
  24. Great show...weird venue, but the sound was really good from our seats. I was on the fence about going at first, but I'm really glad I went. Here's a video of the mic-less encore (not my video, found it on youtube):
  25. Nice article: Heads Bowed in Grateful Memory
