  1. I always resisted that "Deadwood" cuz I really dislike Westerns, on general principle (not certain what that principle is, precisely)...but I heard Timothy Olyphant is in it, and I looove him...so I might have to rent it...
  2. Brad, it's fonts of knowledge like yourself that make this crazy world go 'round.
  3. And belinted. Aloha' date=' Brad[/quote'] Q4T
  4. See, this is all info I had suspected, but of which I had no confirmation. Thanks for the update.
  5. I'm working at a desk, not my own, this week. I don't see any packing tape. I'm covered in fuzz and/or dog hair. What's a girl to do? I even put the fleece I'm sporting through a couple of dryer cycles..yet, I'm still besmirched. Grrrrrrr. Oh, and, I'm super-bored.
  6. It's not my fault they were ruined for me in childhood!
  7. P.S. In my mind, parsnips smell like farts. I've never eaten one, primarily because I imagine they taste like farts would taste. The neighbour kid who grew up next door to me used to fart and then run around yelling, "Parsnip fart! Parsnip fart!" She was a little weird.
  8. How many elevators are there? If there were' date=' say, three others, you could occupy yourself by making one of them smell like some nice cooked vegetables (roast squash, maybe, or a roast parsnip/carrot combo), one like spicy noodles or scalloped potatoes, and the other like a nicely warmed through apple pie. I'm not sure which wine smell, red or white, should go into the service elevator, though. Aloha, Brad[/quote'] There are 7 elevators in the bank of them to which I'm referring. I suppose you could stink 'em up to cover an entire meal, though I'm not sure where I'll acquire the needed fumes.
  9. One of the elevators in my office reeks like bacon. Should I be concerned I'm having a pork-related stroke? I am so bored. No one is here and I'm covering for the President's assistant this week. The phone has rung exactly twice since 8 am.
  10. Love to you and the Mrs, Bob. Let's get together when you guys get back from moe!
  11. 11 years ago tonight, I was living in Kingston, on my way to a Xmas party. I got a call, as I was getting ready for the party, that my dad was being airlifted to a hospital 4 hours away from home (I was about 22 hours away at this point). The Bouchard boys played a lot of great Dead music that night that lifted my spirits. I finally got to Thunder Bay the next day as my dad finally got a room at the hospital. The next morning, I spoke to the doctor and said I was considering going home, via bus, to get the car (and return the rental). He said that would be fine. I left on the bus and my dad died that night. And I will say that Booche and Bouche helped me through one of the worst times of my life by playing some great acoustic Dead tunes over the phone for me that night...I specifically remember "Ripple" and "When I Paint My Masterpiece". It really did save me that night, so thanks guys. Anyway, hug your loved ones, people. You never know for how long they'll be in your life. I'm not looking for sympathy here...just want to remind you to love your loves NOW. And have a great holiday. xoxo
  12. I wish I had transportation...I'm at home feeling despondent at the moment.. Have a great night everyone!
  13. That's pretty impressive..takes a special person to misspell your name, dude. Congrats! Nice pic!
  14. Congrats you guys!! You both look amazing & gorgeous and the pictures are stunning (did you order that sky special? Wow!)!
  15. I lost mine once and had to get it replaced. There's a form you need to fill out declaring your passport has been lost and you need to have it signed by a certain type of person (I had a lawyer sign mine..not sure off the top of my head who else would be qualified) attesting to the passport's status. If I recall correctly, I just had to include that form with my new passport application...if you drop it off, should be ready in a week or so.
  16. No, no..according to my friend Gill, what you're referring to here is "hand pistols"...
  17. Have an amazing birthday and fantastic year, Caroline! Miss seein' you!!
  18. I used that word today in an email..had to confirm the spelling, though, because it's so rare to see it written!
  19. Beat me to it. Dude, that was in the original post!
  20. Good one..that's one of my new favourites, too. Internecine is another one I'm liking a lot these days.
  21. punitive damages tangentially Court-side open bar
  22. ABB rumours..the official announcement will (apparently) be out later today.. "The Allman Brothers Band will be performing their annual spring fling in New York City during the month of May. The 2008 shows will be between May 5 and May 28. The venue and exact dates will be announced early in the New Year." "The Allman Brothers Band has announced that it will not return to the Beacon Theatre in March. The venue is currently undergoing renovations, which will push the group to another locale in NYC. Moreover, rather than the band's customary March residency, this year the ABB will perform in May. The group has confirmed that shows will take place in the window between May 5-28 and while no venue has been confirmed, speculation continues to swirl around both the Nokia Theatre Times Square (where Phil Lesh & Friends performed an extended stint this fall) and the United Palace on Broadway and 175th Street (where Neil Young is appearing later this week)." I was never all that intrigued by the idea of hitting NYC in the middle of March for this run, but I think New York City in May for some Allman Brothers would be great fun!
