I was excited about seeing the Black Crowes at bonnaroo not knowing who else was in the band, now that Marc Ford is back in the fold I am freaking out!

And now I get to see them in Toronto before bonnaroo, which is great.

The only unfortunate thing is that they couldn't figure something out with Steve Gorman, but all in all this band they got together is better than I expected!

Whatever he was doing or not doing at The Comfort Zone when he came with Blue Floyd 08/08/2000, he played just fine!!

**footnote** (one of my favourite Mule moments was when Marc Ford got up and played "Presence of the Lord" with GM at Hordefest Molson Amphitheatre 7/28/1998 while he was touring with Chris Stills)

Hey MuleMomma,

I too was at that HORDE show and I have to say that moment where Marc Ford performed Eric Clapton's Blind Faith song with Gov't Mule was the highlight of that HORDE tour for me (I went to three HORDE shows in 1998).

I was just checking mulebase.com for the date and did a search for Presence of the Lord and it came up with no matches, then it came up under Toronto, but with the * signifying that Marc had joined them on it...which leads me to believe that either that was the only time Mule played that song or that every time they play it they have a guest...hmmm....I think we were very blessed that day ::

Yes indeed we were. Also that day Toronto resident Craig Ross (lead guitarist in the Lenny Kravitz band) came out and joined Marc Ford in Chris Stills band to perform Stills' father Stephen's Manasas song "Rock N Roll Crazies." I loved that day of music!

Have you guys heard about the run by Mr Crowes Garden coming up soon in the NE?

The Black Crowes will be doing some shows under this moniker for some warm up gigs. They are doing Pittsburgh, Poughkeepsie, Northhampton, Providence and New Haven from March 14 to the 19th. Check the websites for Toads Place and Pearl St for info, tickets are currently on sale and available.

I can't wait to share this ride again..........

Sean
