bouche
I thought it would be interesting for anyone who can and feels like it to go to the Archive.org listings and somewhat randomly pick something you've never heard of before and listen to it. Share your hidden gems here! I decided to click on . Fareed Haque Group They're no hacks! I know he's the killer guitarist from Garaj Mahal, but I had never heard of this group before so it fits with my original rule

Del
I decided to check out a band called Oshe , based on the opinions of some hardcore Slip fans I know... They're nothing like The Slip, but it's pretty damn good. I'd have to say I recommend them...

Jaimoe
I'm listing to The Dirtbombs right now. I know them by reputation only and they certainly live up to their reputation: Motor City garage rockers in the MC5/Stooges mold.Good stuff. Jaimoe
Check out this MMJ set. The first song, Lay Low, will be on their upcoming album ( tentatively titled Z ), scheduled for release in early October. Don Donte is another new tune that will be on their new album. I can't wait. The new CD is allegedly rock-based, which is exciting - this is the direction the band needed to explore more fully: http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=26417Setlist:Laylow Mahgeetah Lowdown How Do You Know Golden I Will Sing You Songs Tonight I'll be Staying Here with You (Just says "Dylan" on the set list ) Off the Record The Way that He Sings Don Dante Run Thru _________________ new song (babies in blenders line?, set list said At Dawn) What a Wonderful Man One Big Holiday

StoneMtn
For some bluegrass AC/DC, you can't beat "Hayseed Dixie". (... and if you're already into the bluegrass theme, you should also check out "Blueground Undergrass".)
Freak By Night
how about Jiggle the Handle...name sounds kinda cool I thought.I saw Jiggle the Handle play in the parking lot at the Phish Oswego fest in '99. I thought they were quite good. Great band name too... I remember being a kid, and my mom always saying "don't forget to jiggle the handle" whenever I used the toilet!
