I've been listening to a lot of the same albums recently ( I rarely do ), which is a good thing:

Elephant - The White Stripes ( although I listen to all of their albums from week to week )

Hittin' The Note - The Allman Brothers

thickfreakness - The Black Keys ( a new heavy- blues 2-piece band: guitar and drums )

Pink Moon - Nick Drake

Soledad Brothers - Soledad Brothers ( 2-piece blues band from Detroit - they are playing this summer's Ottawa Bluesfest )

Honorable Mention:

Best Of Blue Grassy High - Live @ The Arnprior Tim Hortons 12/31/02 to 06/27/03

TAB - 06-07-03 Memorial Aud, Burlington

Nero - 03-29-03 (I think its the 29th) Dekcuf

The Ghourds - Some mix I made (Catphish got that one going again!)

GD - View From The Vault 4, and Stepping Out (just cant stop that train)

Derek Trucks - 04-05-02

Thats a heck of alot more than 5 cd's, I'm obviously cheating.

Chewie - I think that Live is a great coda to the Black Crowes truly rockin career...kind of a greatest hits...yeah there's a lot of Lions material but I've got no probs with that - I thought it was their best since Southern Harmony. The live version of Lickin' might sum up everything that gets me off about ROCK (totally capitalized)...I've never actually seen them live either so it fills that gap in my fanship.

I think it is a wicked double-disc set and a real long weekend collection - definitive use of two guitars and songs that everyone from my parents to the guys next to me at the stop light can sing along to.

Rock on!

Live Phish Vol. 17 Portland, OR. 7-15-98

(3 cds)

kinda like the Vernon Downs show from

later that summer with the way laid back

feel and muchos hilarious stage banter.

Not a bad way to start a tour at all - well

worth the purchase.

Widespread Panic

(1 disc)

Just made a highlight disc of the tunes I dig

from 'Light Fuse Get Away'

Phish

12-3-97 Philadelphia, PA

the end of Set I/start of Set II

....this is one of my favourite shows

of the best tour. All of the stop/start jamming

with a great song selection and great

two full sets.
