Esau.
Honestly, only album I actually bought this year that was new would be: Haymaker! by the Gourds. Not that there wasn't a ton of good music out there I liked, just for some reason the last two years I've been addicted discovering old music, pre-war blues/folk/old-time and rag-time etc

Jaimoe
Cue Jaimoe in 3...2...1...I haven't given it much thought - I've been mentally making a Top 10 of the decade list instead. I like the Monsters of Folk album quite a bit though and perhaps Dead Weather.
boiler
Eels - Hombre Lobo has been one of my fav's of the year, also Paterson Hood's - Murdering Oscar is great. I'd love to see Hood do a mini set of songs from this CD Sunday night (if I can find a babysitter, things aren't looking good on that front right now). Paul Banwatts's dance beats with a snap make such a nice compliment to Nils voice and lyrics. I just heard the tracks that are going to be on a new 7 inch. Beautiful.
