bradm
I'd be surprised if it sells out, and very surprised if it sells out in advance. (I'll have a better feel after Umphrey's McGee on Oct. 24.)Aloha,Brad
DevO
Are tickets for this one any cheaper via DSO's own ticket service? Balcony seats are $35.50 through TM. This show ain't cheap!
Schwa.
Too much for a cover band.
Rary8
It is expensive. But they put on a great show. When i saw them in Vegas with JK. I hadn't danced to the dead that well since 91.
Schwa.
I've been to 4 Gratefulfests. They are super fun for sure.
Weirdness
Not a fucking chance. Might check it out depending on timing but tix at the door for sure...
c-towns
I'll go, but only to improve my social status. You can't put a price on that.

edger
Ha! Ba dump ching. I always have a great time at their shows. I'm in for sure. Rob Barraco infectiously smiling and dancing along those keys is worth the price of admission for me alone.
bradm
I might be there, but I think I'd need a good show in Toronto the day before or the day after to justify the trip.Aloha,Brad
Basher
Spoke to my brother, who runs the venue. Sales for the DSO show are strong, and they don't plan to open the balcony for the show, so I would suggest not waiting on tickets.
Im going home Donny
I'm curious to check these guys out one day. Mostly because I have always found cover bands so f'ing depressing... I 'kinda' expect I'd find DSO to be the granddaddy of depressing cover bands but they are sooo popular that I'm fully curious! That said, I did go to loads of Dead shows in hopes of getting 'that' first Pine Knob experience..which I never realy did. So if every performance is stellar...mayyyybe...mayyybe not... Basher
Forget what I said, my brother thought I was asking about Umphrey's. No, he says DSO will not sell out.

lightsweetcrude
I can't believe they won't sell out... First time in TO, etc etc. I have friends going who haven't been to a "jamband" type of gig since I'm not sure when. Q107 is pushing this thing, too - but that might also be a sign of desperation!I'll take Basher's word (inside scoop) though, for sure. Must be UM in town a few weeks before or something. Cosmic ChrisC
I can't believe they won't sell out... First time in TO, etc etc. Yeah, well Toronto is not California. Dead/jam music still attracts good crowds in California, well, at least it did 10 years ago. I saw New Riders in Toronto probably 8 years ago or so and it was a very small crowd. Further in Ottawa a couple years ago?...sad attendance, as was Widespread Panic.
edger
Very true. And unfortunate. But something tells me it'll be a warm and enthusiastic crowd that wants to groove... Numbers aren't everything.
Velvet
Numbers are pretty important when you tour with a transport truck, staff and two busses.

edger
Numbers are pretty important when you tour with a transport truck, staff and two busses.Absolutely. Was just trying to focus on what I think the plusses of this show will be which would hopefully entice some fence sitters and translate into more numbers. I'm personally thrilled with many of the acts that Danforth has been bringing in lately and it would be real nice if these bands felt it was worth coming back again. DSO As our six guys and girl continue a rip roarin’ West Coast tour, one of the highlights had to be the second of two nights at San Francisco’s legendary Fillmore, where Phil Lesh joined DSO for the entire first set on Saturday
