  1. holy shitballz! just stopped in to Art-Is-In for dessert after a fantastic Hintonburger lunch. The place has about 10 amazing looking sandwiches, likely different weekly with daily specials. I will be going there for lunch next week for sure. The sandwiches that caught my eye were the Prime Rib roast beef sandwich with truffle mayo, and a crispy cod fish and chip sandwich. The sandwiches all seemed very reasonably priced for the quality and size. 5-7 bucks tops I believe. I walked out with a vanilla cream donut and a Kouglof. The donut's filling is similar to the stuffing of a canoli.
  2. i have a few extra flyers and show posters for Ottawa and Hamilton and I'll bring them to Charlie Hunter on April 22. nice teaser!

    sustainable seafood

I picked up some salmon at loblaws a couple of weeks ago and found that the price for their sustainable isn't that much higher than the other offerings. I'm not sure why there are both though. If a company is going to adopt this strategy they should go all the way.
  4. Thanks brad. That's actually a convenient stop on the way home!
  5. I wanted to ask the same thing but you beat me to it. Now all I'm wondering is if Ottawa Folk Fest is going to be taken on as a BRAND like Bluesfest was. Seems like Folk Fest won't mean FOLK Music, and it also sounds like the identity shift had already begun a couple of years ago.
  6. i'm going friday. i might do pogo for lunch.
  7. after you click it, save the image (and view it by double clicking on the saved file)....or you should be able to zoom into the image to full size from the browser. it's actually a really big image that is being resized in your browser.

  11. I guess if one is not into an artist performing live music, her show would be good.
  12. A man in a bar stands up and proclaims, "All Lawyers are ASSHOLES!" A man at the front of the bar stands up and says "Hey! I resent that!" The first man says to the second man, "Why? Are you a lawyer?" "NO! I'm an asshole!"
  13. the only thing I can recommend is Singsnap.com check it out. It's web-based and uses your computer's mic and video camera to help you make a karaoke video of your favourite music. There is quite a bit of content but they charge you to access it all.
  14. thanks ollie. i didn't care about their well-being anyway since they're destined to be slaughtered and eaten one way or another. at least their last meal is a good one. nice to see facts that expose the biology of the water fowl.
  15. I bought a bottle of this scotch at duty free.
