  1. Yep, gotta do reshingling this year too I think. So AD let us know who you end up hiring and if you'd recommend them! You know people on this board are getting old when...
  2. Just bought 2...Ollie wants to buy 2 more now...but yeah, what if they do go out of business before BBQ season is here!
  3. I think we'll get to see it land: http://spaceflightnow.com/shuttle/sts133/status.html
  4. Never been to this venue and never heard of this band, but received an e-mail about this show and thought some of you might like these guys, who are compared to Arcade Fire: MLCD [MY LITTLE CHEAP DICTAPHONE] 13 mars 2011 – 20 h (60 min.) Au Cabaret la Basoche 20 $ | 18 $ | 15 $ www.mylittlecheap.net Their recent concept album, THE TRAGIC TALE OF A GENIUS, is about Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys. Anyone ever been to this venue in Gatineau?
  5. Ah OK! Thanks Mr. Bus Driver. Does the 94 go right by my house?
  6. Anyone heard of this Grateful Dead tribute band called Not Dead Yet ? I just saw a listing that they're playing at Wally's in Blackburn Hamlet this Saturday, March 5th. Weird. I'd think of going if it wasn't in such a weird, hard to get to, part of the city. Live Tribute to the Grateful Dead Saturday March 5th Not Dead Yet performs live music from the Grateful Dead. Wally's Bistro and Bar 2532 Innes Rd., Blackburn Hamlet Phone: 613-824-8622
  7. Go hug your cat first ok?
  8. Anyone been to Jean Albert's yet? I haven't but want to try it and just bought a '>Groupon Deal (yes, I know the Superbowl commercials were evil). The deal expires at the end of the day Wednesday, February 23rd. I've read some unfavourable reviews in the past months, but will judge for myself at half the price. I can't find a freaking web site for the place.
  9. So how'd you sleep? Did you see any sea creatures outside your windows? Love the old pictures on their web site ! Is the decor still the same?
  10. Oh...that's good news! Not too far from my place! I love different options for grocery shopping. Looking forward to checking out Whole Foods at Lansdowne Park if that project ever freakin happens.
  11. Oh awesome...Ollie you can finally convert those French movies that you bought me years ago!

    BEER!!

Yep, liking it! That $7.50 is going down fast!
  13. Been listening to the metal show on this station for the past two hours and it was great!!!
  14. No Bluesfest anytime soon will beat the 2010 Bluesfest. Huey Lewis and Elvis Costello does nothing for me right now. I'll still buy a pass though.
  15. If only this could take place in Montreal...heavy metal capital of Canada. I still haven't watched the DVD of the concert in Sofia.
  16. Oh no I forgot. Well, I did have a whiskey earlier, but shoulda been a scotch. And instead of haggis for dinner, I had gumbo. Ah well, maybe next year! O thou, my muse! guid auld Scotch drink! Whether thro’ wimplin worms thou jink, Or, richly brown, ream owre the brink, In glorious faem, Inspire me, till I lisp an’ wink, To sing thy name!
  17. Don't watch "The Human Centipede",...disturbing. And I don't get easily disturbed. It's just weird. A few days after watching it, I still had flashes of the movie in my head. Watched The Aristocrats, which I never saw, right after The Human Centipede...and I kept thinking that one of the comedians should just have used the storyline for Human Centipede for the act. Don't watch Last Days by Gus Van Sant, about a musician's last few days before dying. The musician is very much like Kurt Cobain, but it's not a factual movie. Anyway, it sucked. Mother, a Korean movie, is very good. Watch it.
  18. Anyone ever been here: http://www.happygoat.ca http://www.ottawacitizen.com/life/coffee+loves+vacuum/4101187/story.html Davey Boy and Catphish...seems like this place is very close to your house.
  19. bouche, did you get skates? i just saw an ad for this place on Wellington West. They sell used skates: Tim's Used Sports
  20. Ah, finally I was excited about a show in Ottawa. I'm just gonna go back to bed now.
  21. Has anyone been to this bakery yet? True Loaf Bread Company, on Gladstone Avenue (between Bronson and Bank). Read more: http://www.ottawacitizen.com/life/mile+Bread/1378151/story.html#ixzz1BgxsFVgB
  22. Our neighbourhood reeks of super organized, healthy, active people who run (literally) to the shops first thing on Saturday mornings. So by the time we do our shopping (late afternoon) all the bread is gone. I hope this place has good hours...I could stop by there on my way home from work, easily. But yeah, I agree with AD...expensive! I kinda like cheap Bavarian style bread that I can get at Metro.
