Yeah, it's OK. I'm fine. I blame Prince (not Andre...he probably thinks that I only listen to heavy metal). For hotels, it you're not into luxury and such, try this place: http://www.hotelcentreville.com/index.asp I just checked and they have room available this Saturday, for $99 a night. I've stayed there many times because the Spectrum (RIP) used to be one block away. The hotel is nothing fancy at all, rooms need redecorating, and there's no room service or anything like that, but there's a kitchen so just bring snacks with you. And the place is clean and they have underground parking at an extra cost (probably around $20). I've also stayed at this place ( http://www.hotelsaintandre.ca/ ) which is $98 a night and closer to Metropolis but my car was broken into there and druggies were hanging out in the parking lot...not a safe area of Montreal.

I am little pissed off that nobody posted anything about these shows BEFORE the tickets went on sale. I might have given going to this some serious thought. I've never been to Montreal during the jazz festival and to see Prince at the Metropolis will be outstanding, no doubt. I read this thread around 3pm and by that time, tickets were sold out. Ah well, I'm saving lotsa money.

Yeah, I've only been there twice a long time ago. It was all right but I keep hearing bad reviews lately, so it might have gone downhill. We had sushi for lunch today from Naked Sushi.

I had to go to the market on Friday so stopped there for lunch. I was in a rush but did notice the nice decor, the cheese counter, the fresh meat counter, the fresh and frozen veggies, some from Bryson, some from Suntech, coffee, hot sauces, granola, frozen dinner options such as shepard's pie, ready to go sandwiches and sides, and of course the sandwich counter at the back where I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with a side of quinoa salad; sandwich and side options change everyday. That place was totally needed in the market. There's a few tables if you wanna eat in.

I stopped after my third try. I like cats and don't want to start hating them! Did anyone succeed?

Yeah, but not feeling so great today though. And I remember thinking I'd keep my bracelet so I could go again today to try all the other beers I didn't get to try. I don't think that will happen now! I also planned to get up at 7am today to go see the marathoners run near my place, but instead ended up going to see the half-marathon two hours later. Anyway, I tried kangaroo for the first time. Felt a bit bad about it but it was good...a little burger. Also tried smoked duck in a can from Le Naked Lunch in Ste-Sophie, Quebec. You can buy their products at a few places in Gatineau. I didn't get to try the homemade potato chips at another stand...they were sold out by the time I made it to the stand. I can't remember the beers I tried! I should have noted them down. I did buy a t-shirt though! I hope this festival is back next year.

I got our tickets in section 104 after 15 minutes of trying, so probably 30 plus tries. It's not like the old days when people were not so internet savvy. We used to easily get floors tickets for shows. Not so anymore. But since this was row A tickets, I figured it was the next best thing to floor tickets.
