I'd go to this if my first experience at the Elmdale hadn't been so bad...the security there is just like at Bluesfest; ie. they kick people out! Is it still like that?

Unfortunately, that show already happened...it was in 1995, 10 years after Garcia's death. I was at that show and it was fun! I don't think even think these guys still play anywhere anymore.

Oh, I hope the wireless works out! We're moving to an old home with old wiring on the first floor, so might not be safe to go the traditional way, unless we want to rewire first which we don't want to bother with right away.

We stayed at the Adirondack Inn many years ago for Phil and Friends. We also stayed at another place in Saratoga after that too but I can't remember the name...do you, Ollie? Both places were motels and overpriced for what they were. But I like motels. Saratoga is crazy busy during the horse races which take place all of August. But you can stay in Lake George a short drive away. We stayed here once: Surfside on the Lake - Lake George

Frikkin yeah man! This weekend is all about tribute bands. Can't wait to rock out to some fake Maiden. I just hope I don't have to drink Molson Ex again tonight.

Did anyone score tickets to the Montreal show? I woke up at 11:53am; tickets were going on sale at 12pm. I thought I had enough time to get from the bed to the computer to get it all ready. Wrong. I had trouble connecting to the hotel's wireless connection, had to talk to help desk because Ollie just wasn't waking up to help me out. By the time I was connected, I wasn't able to get any tickets...show is sold out; they added a second show on the Sunday. Only 400 level available. Boo hoo. But I'm going to the Ottawa show so that's cool.

I wouldn't mind some AC/DC either. Never saw them and don't feel like going to Scotiabank Place to see them.

You're a geek Mike! Sorry we missed you and Sharon! Ollie and I got there around 11pm; we had to drink 4 drinks in one hour, and that's after all the beer and wine I'd already had at dinner. Sunday became a very mellow day!

Thanks everyone! I took Friday and Monday off to make sure I could celebrate properly!

I used to hide Budweiser cans in every pocket of my ski jacket and drink as much as possible on the chairlift. Once, I puked when getting off the chairlift and had to push around snow with my skis to clean up the mess. That was night skiing; I think it was easier to get away with stuff at night.

I went to Whalesbone with people from work about 3 years ago for lunch. Loved it! But I think it's a new chef and owner now, right?

I want to blame the bus strike too for me not going to this! (and a bit of laziness also). But mostly the bus strike. I'm staying in Westboro this weekend so walking would take a while. Hey, check out the Woodrunners too; I think they're opening. Haven't seen them yet but would like to. I might wait till they play the Elmdale Tavern again. And let me know if they were good tonight.

Oh my...people wear helmets now on ski hills?! Times have changed! When I skied, it wasn't even an option! Do people still drink beer on chairlifts? Betcha you can't get away with that anymore!
