  1. And to summarize bouche's response Jay, the brine is merely cold, salt water. They can soak for a couple hours or even overnight. Once removed from the brine they need to either drain or be pat dried. Once blanched they can sit for 10 minutes or hours. Use this method on the new potato popping up in all the grocery stores called the "Purple Sweetie" and I guarentee you the best fry you've ever tasted.
  2. We have quite an extensive cookbook collection. The ones that we refer to the most are:
  3. Wow 20 years later and it's still such a debatable issue. I can't believe it. I feel blessed that the Morgentaler Clinic and many like it exist. What a different life it would be for thousands of women (and men for that matter) if they didn't. We should be grateful that individuals like Henry Morgentaler stood up and fought for our right to choose. One person can impact the lives of thousands. It ain't easy, but it can be done. What a great example.
  4. Mmmmmmm sweet nero candy. You got it right Booche, that's some good drug. My soul is nurtured as only nero can do. I had forgotten what that elation felt like. Thanks for the reminder boys.
  5. Good to meet you last night. A move, a nero show and a birthday? Wowzers man. Enjoy it all.
  6. He's snaking my drain now! Oh yeah, that's so hot.
  7. He's probably thinking "My wife is having pizza?"
  8. I'm sure the fries and salad portions are just as big.
  9. right now and HAhahahaha he's got his plumber's butt hanging out!! I wish I could sneak a picture. How cliche.
  10. Marco, I saw Keller Williams at Bluesfest a few years ago and I rather enjoyed the show. It was interesting to see one person make all that noise. I could never see another show, once is all you need. I find his music generally unlistenable. It was a nice visual that one time, but I really have to change the channel fast whenever Sirius Jam On plays him (which is too often). I can see he's got some talent but Keller Williams = Blechy Music.
  11. I can't believe that statement. I watched a documentary a few weeks ago about Austin being the fattest city on Earth. More than 80% of the population is obese. Because the obese are in the company of more obese, there is no encouragement to loose weight and fat is in. You'll likely get supersize portions wherever you eat in Austin. That's their norm, from what this program showed. Supersize and BBQ. Have fun, enjoy your trip Basher!
  12. Oh no he didn't!?!?! Dinghy, I do think something is wrong with your crockpot, but I also know what you mean about crock pot meals tasting funny. I have had some good meatballs and good ribs, but everything else, that isn't smothered in BBQ sauce, just has a funny taste to it. I don't like the soups, stews, roasts and veggies near as much when they're made in a crock pot as I do when I make them on the stove or in the oven. Convenient? Yes. Tasty, not really (except for Crystals ribs).
  13. That's some good acting. During the hysterical laughter I could have sworn it was Cruise.
  14. Oh yay! I wondered when I'd get to see Bob Wiseman again. I likey.
  15. Last question, This is the first year that I'm a wife. Is it better for me to do my return with bouche or can I go off on my own? He has a more difficult return because this site is technically registered as a business.
  16. Jodes, are you able to do a return for me? Employed in Ontario, living in Quebec?
  17. He looks rich. Like disgusting rich.
  18. I just never think of this stuff at home. I only think about it when I'm at work and it's in front of me.
  19. I think what bouche meant to say was WE'RE IN!
  20. You know what else I was thinking about? Do we really need separate east coast and west coast forums? I miss the east and west coast folk. And though I may not get to the shows out there, it's still kind of neat to see what's happening throughout our country, not just Ontario.
  21. I like the idea of community for the old "general" page where it leads you to all the sub forums. Maybe just call it the Community Center. I think the Cavern should be called the Sanctuary. We all call it that anyway. We call ourselves Skanks and it doesn't really refer to anything other than the old, old site, Phishsanctuary.ca Perhaps naming the forums after songs isn't such a great idea since they exclude people who aren't fans of the artist, or the genre of music it's from. If it's a community, it should feel equally as welcome to jamband fans as indie fans, as curious visitors.
  22. I'd take that horse shoe out of your ass before trying to sleep tonight. L.U.C.K.Y
  23. You know, I have no idea how to host a picture or resize a picture for an avatar either. My strategy was, marry bouche, have him do it for me whenever I want. I have to do his laundry, but I think it's worth it. Sorry that's not much help to you two.
  24. Happy birthday you handsome, polish bastard. I love when you pop up once a year for a hug. Enjoy your day in every way.
