  1. I bet I could sing along to 65% of Evita and likely 85% of Phantom. I won't though. Don't worry.
  2. Gosh that is shocking. You assume if you live a healthy life style, eat well and exercise that this won't happen to you. What a kick in the ass. Married for only four months. That's so early for the challenge of "in sickness and in health."
  3. I also heard that you should watch the series before the movie because the movie will ruin the series for you if you haven't seen it.
  4. Hey POG sorry to hear you didn't get the job. I'm in a new position and am asked all the time now to find out the best practices of other leaders in our industry. The task at first was pretty daunting. Who is going to tell me how their business operates? Who is going to admit to having problems let alone share with me how to overcome them? I have in fact found out that people love to talk about their industry and share best practices. I have found many blogs that suit my needs and there are actually hundreds of conferences and conventions held annually in North America with a wide variety of industry-related topics. I have also found that having contacts is most helpful. For example a guy I work with has been in the industry for 20 years and knows everyone. He's letting me tag along to all his site tours and meetings. I get to learn so much and people absolutely love to be the one to teach their trade to newbies. I'm not sure if this is relavent to your industry or not, but I'd bet some of it is. Hopefully it will prepare you for next time.
  5. Speaking of awesome TV, has anyone seen Firefly? bouche and I got it at Christmas and it's really terrific. It's techincally a sci-fi, but it's really more like a western. (The costumes, the language, the scenarios). I understand it's only two seasons though and when we're done them, there's a movie called "Serenity" to watch that completes the story. It's a pretty unique series. I like it a lot.
  6. We used fresh lamb shank slices and they were about $16 for both. I think we started by browning the shanks on both sides and removing them from the pot. We then added to the pot the classic onion, celery, carrot, garlic combo, deglazed with some wine, added the meat back in and added chicken stock and canned tomoatoes. It was seasoned with a bouquet of thyme and bay leaves and cooked for a couple of hours. It was absolutely beautiful.
  7. "Gabe's room" is likely a broom closet. Are Rachel and Gabe really his wife and son? Are they getting paid to go onto the set and eat "dinner"? I feel duked.
  8. What a fool I am. I actually believed that what I was seeing on TV was Micheal Smith's home. I am so naive. Farmhouse at the cove. Check out the "deatils" link for the kitchen. Why does this sadden me? And why don't they call it "Chef at the Cove" instead of "Chef at Home"?
  9. Okay, I'm a sucker for broadway musicals. Evita is on at the NCC in early March. I'm buying tickets the day they go on sale, Jan 21. More info

Of fack Mike, maybe you should learn to type in purple so your poor mother doesn't have a heart attack. Sheesh, it's not THAT bad!
  11. Feel better Jodes. I have felt like shit for the past week. Today is the first day I've felt sort of normal (my throat isn't that sore and I haven't had to cough every minute), but I still have hardly any voice! Misery loves company. *****cyber-hugs******
  12. BTW Backbacon, I happened to flip through and see Drew Carey hosting the Price is Right last week. What a knob. I thought he was condescending, un-prepared and very dull. I know he's new. Hopefully he'll get better. Bob's are some big shoes to fill.
  13. thanks for the mp3. I loved it. I sent it around my office. However, the feedback I got was "why won't it play?" It seems like our office is defaulted to not support mp3 with WMP 11. I use iTunes and have all of codecs. (sorry, this is BOUCHE!)
  14. I agree NewRider. I just deleted 10 threads of complete gibberish. Come on popo, pull yourself together. If you absolutely need to post when you're off your face, at least contain it to one thread so the rest of us can enjoy jambands.ca.
  15. I'm SO sorry to have missed it Todd and everyone else. After all that Todd did for us this year we should have been the first ones there. I have come down with a pretty nasty chest cold and I just couldn't. I was watching the clock all night and thinking about you though. I hope it was as awesome a night as you deserve. Much love.
  16. I hear that! I got it for Christmas and have been completely zoned out since I opened it. 2 days later and only two chapters to go. What an incredible story. And I expected Axl to be portrayed as a total knob. I am surprised that Slash regarded him as such a genius. Slash's most boring day is more interesting than my most exciting. That's going to change my resolution outlook. Who's got heroin? It sounds really fun.
  17. Holy fack! Happy Christmas MarcO! Wee Hooo!!
  18. Bouchards rock and Bouchards roll. Bouchards laugh and Bouchards Wii bowl. Bouchards know how to do Christmas right. Copper and Abbey have already had three fights. Bouchards drink, more booze than seems right. Bouchards open presents on Christmas Eve night!!! Bouchards are the greatest people. Husband, mother, brother and sister in-law. I'm off to enjoy the Bouchards and get fucked beyond belief. I don't care if it doesn't rhyme anymore, it's fuckin Christmas! The end.
  19. No kidding. If you're a paid musician and have no other obligation than to learn your songs, learn your god damn lyrics! Totally unprofessional. Turned me off right away.

    Dexter

OMG Dingy, I say the EXACT same thing about the show. Season one had such a great concept and story but the acting was almost unbearble for me. The acting in season two improved a lot (especially the sister). The story line and intensity per episode in season two far surpassed season one as well. There are not many shows out there these days that I just can't wait for the next episode, but season two of Dexter was it for me this year.
  21. Happy birthday Paisley. Much love headed your way.
  22. Bless you MarcO. The timing of this couldn't be better!
