  1. Myrna, it's so funny you should say that. I was so worried that I was missing the Dancing with the Stars finale. It woke me up! Then I came to my sences and realized I already saw it and it was now over. No worries. Whew. Did Mike marry his mother?
  2. Grinch indeed. Boo-urns Willy.
  3. I won tickets to a hockey game through my company one time as well. They cost like $220 each, it shocked me. Anyway they weren't transferrable so bouche and I decided to give it a go. We actually had some fun drinking beer and getting obnoxious. I don't need to go to another hockey game now, but it was fun.
  4. It's been a few years since the holiday spirit has hit me, but this year with the snow falling, the ease of shopping (I did mine all on-line), and an early Christmas with my family in Toronto this past weekend, my heart is full of Christmas cheer. A few things from the weekend that still have me smiling: - We got my 8 year old neice an MP3 player. She hasn't taken it out of her ears yet. She loves it! She even slept with it. - We got my 5 year old nephew a hot wheels set which he played with and shared with others all day. "Guess what? This is mine!" he said grinning from ear to ear. And the kicker..... - My 60 year old father called last night and told me he's proposing to his girlfriend of one year at Disney Land this week! I am SO frickin' HAPPY!!! Happy December everyone. I hope you are all enjoying it as much as I am.
  5. Wonderful news Brad! Congrats on some good news going your way and I'll give you my very first of the season.... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
  6. What a coincidense Gateaux. Not that you share a birthday with Sloth, but that he's one of my favorite people as well! Have a good one Dave!
  7. Love you Jordan. MWAH. Happy birthday.
  8. You can spruce up the cream cheese on the Sunday before if you want to get fancy. Lox is good, fresh herbs, lemon, strawberries.... it's a good creative vessle. Serve it with pita as well for anyone who may be watching their carbs. bouche did a sweet potato thing for breakfast on the weekend that was super good. He made them like homefries, but served them cold on a bed of greens with a drizzle of a blueberry vinegrette. And you just can't go wrong with berries and melons. Everyone likes melons. You can make crepes or buy them in the store pre-made as well. They are good served cold with fresh fruit or a fruit compote. Good luck and have fun!
  9. I am not lying when I tell you that people were reaching out to touch them. My husband included. Grrrrr.
  10. Holy Cow!! We saw Beowolf in 3D IMAX on Saturday and I still can't stop thinking about it. I have never been to a 3D movie movie and expected a lot less. IT WAS SO COOL!!!! The movie was really good, but aside from that, the sound and 3D were by themselves, enough to make it a wonderful movie experience. I giggled and shrieked my way through the movie in wonderment. The theatre was pretty packed and you could just sense everyone's amazement. Good movie, but definitely see it in 3D if you can. PS - Angelina Jolies boobs..... go see them.
  11. Happy birthday to a wonderfully inspirational woman. Enjoy it Meggo!
  12. I've been to Hys, Keg Manor, Als and the Keg in the market. All very good steaks, but I like them in the order I posted.
  13. You know what? I watched Quantum Leap way back when and I still can't recall what the heck happened. I'm glad I missed the spoiler! I'm loving rewatching it. It's a great series.
  14. Wowzers Lynnie. I'm sure glad you're enjoying Vancouver. MWAH!
  15. Hey Jodes, happy birthday beautiful! Remember.... you can always go back to the.....
  16. Here's to very fond memories. May they always remain as vivid as they still are today.
  17. I think we picked it up at Northwest Kingdom Mountain Music Fest (or whatever it was called). Just like you Esau, the second we saw it, Hux came to mind!
  18. Ah my cute little bouchey. We (I) did in fact make granola, but that's not the recipe or method I used. It's as follows: 3 cups rolled oats 1 cup slivered almonds 1/2 cup crushed pecans 3/4 cup shredded sweet coconut 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar 1/4 cup maple syrup 2 tablespoons honey 1/4 cup vegetable oil 3/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup diced dried apricots Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. In a large bowl, combine the oats, nuts, coconut, and brown sugar. In a separate bowl, combine maple syrup, oil, and salt. Combine both mixtures and pour onto 2 sheet pans. Cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to achieve an even color. During the last 15 minutes, add apricots and mix until evenly distributed. Remove from oven and transfer into a large bowl.
  19. Geomouse! What a disturbing avatar. I thought you liked mice.
  20. I didn't believe for one second that this would be a good movie. It's really too bad. Seinfeld marketed the hell out it, and yes, it was done in some innovative ways, but to me, that meant that it needed to be sold that much, that it wasn't going to sell through word of mouth. Season 9 of Seinfeld is selling now. I'll spend my money that way.
  21. Jamoie, it is the best comedy on TV right now, easily. And I am a HUGE fan of the Office. It IS worth checking out.
