I've seen both versions of VH in concert (I don't think the version with Gary Cherone should be counted) and I enjoyed both concerts equally. I've always contended that it's the backing vocals that really make Van Halen's sound.

I don't suppose anyone on this board (besides me) will be at the show in Camden NJ on Friday? In Camden there will be the added bonus of Keller Williams along with Ratdog and The Allmans.

I went to Coventry. I was in Vienna the day before and caught a plane to Montreal, my buddy picked me up at the airport and we drove straight to Vermont. From Vienna it took me less time to get to Coventry than it did for people who left from New York or Boston, which I thought was kind of funny.

I'm with you Jaimoe. If that kid can't sing like Mike Anthony, the music's gonna suck. edit to add: Van Halen was one of the first concerts I ever went to. It was 1980 and "Women and Children First" had just come out. One of my favourite concerts ever.

I agree with Ollie on this topic. Those people are nothing more than panhandlers. They dress better and smell nicer, but they're still panhandlers. It's like when former Ontario premier Mike Harris outlawed squeegie kids, but still allowed firemen to walk in traffic to collect money for charity.

I don't see this as a panhandling issue - most panhandlers are harmless. The real issue is stabbings. This country needs a knife registry, since the gun registry has worked so well to eliminate shootings.

I watched the game last night (well until he hit #756 anyway) it was on sportsnet west which I was able to watch thru the satellite. I don't think Bond's record will last another 31 years. A-Rod could break it, he just got his 500th homer and he's only what, 32 years old?

There are not very many baseball posts in this forum. Sure, there's a thread for the Blue Jays fans and one about relief pitchers, but the all-time homerun record was broken last night and nobody seems to care around here. Is it because Bonds is all jacked up on the juice that there's barely a peep in Rich Stadium?
