A couple of years ago I made some salsa out of tomatoes and jalapeno peppers that Ollie gave me from someone's garden (Sorry Ollie I can't remember who's garden you said it was). To those garden tomatoes and peppers I added fresh lime juice, garlic, and cilantro. It was probably the best thing I've ever made.

Nostalgia ain't what it used to be! Hearing "The Sounds of Silence" on the AM radio in the 1960s is one of my earliest memories of music. Still, that nostalgia isn't worth $167. It's worth maybe $80.

I was just asking, that's all. Buzz and exposure - seems reasonable enough. I didn't vote because I've only been to one of the festivals listed - not enough to make any kind of informed decision. Plus I didn't feel like signing up.

What is the purpose of this poll other than to get people to sign up on the CBC radio 3 web site? Does the winning festival get a grant of some kind? What's in it for me if I vote for a particular festival?

Ha! I'm with you Roller. In the last few years, prime-time TV has gone straight down the shit-catcher. If it weren't for sports, movies, The Sarah Silverman Show, and re-runs of Seinfeld, I'd have nothing to watch weeknights 7-10pm. Sundays are a different story though with the cartoon lineup on Fox.
