  1. Memorial Day Weekend south of the border, which doesn't matter much except for anyone who was entertaining the thought of heading West for Sasquatch, as it's on the same weekend.
  2. Stevie Wonder's Drivers License
  3. I've always been kind of luke warm towards him, but he has the chops, that's for sure. There was a clip on YouTube a year or two ago (which I just looked for and couldn't find) of him teasing "Stash" at one of his shows. Definitely doesn't get enough credit.

  7. Wow, that's terrible. It's so important to look at where people are coming from when things like this happen. Clearly, if he was breaking into someone's house (when they were home, to boot) he was going through a difficult time to begin with, and has an even tougher road ahead of him. I'll be thinking of your friend, KG, and wish you all the best in supporting him. Peace, Hart
  8. Apparently the new Hanson single was in heavy rotation on a Chicago rock station for a few weeks, getting a large number of requests and really positive listener feedback, before the station dropped the bomb of telling people who it was.
  9. While both of those things may be true, the former isn't something I care to make a priority, and I have devoted the better part of my life to proving that you don't have to go to law school to engage in the later.
  10. StoneMtn, I have to stop opening up your threads around exam time. Stories like this one don't fit very well into the category of "motivation".

  14. Nice one! I was at the Victoria show on Saturday and was quite taken by these guys/girl. I actually meant to send you a PM on Sunday, djmelbatoast, to give you the heads up, but it looks like you didn't need it. I picked up the first album at the show, and have had it on steady rotation since then. Really looking forward to catching them again.
  15. It's getting late, I should prolly go to bed.
  16. Wow. Sending huge positive thoughts toward the Hammer for Tim and his brother. Dude is a role model, that's for sure.
  17. Actually, I think most of the word's in this thread are alright.
  18. Good call, Kev. I'll ask my source, too
  19. So I'm definitely heading North come January. I was half holding out for a more appealing job here in Victoria that I was supposed to interview for next week, but in looking at the overall experience, there was no real competition. Thanks for the input, folks.
  20. At least when people say things like "warsh", "acrosst" and "giver", they're not trying to sound smart. The worst thing about the use of irregardless, in my opinion, is that it is normally used by people trying to be pretentious and use a big word.
