  1. Im in Montreal. I watched the game last night at my aunts house with friends and family. Habs fans are nuts. My dad came this close to punching me in the face when I defended a Leaf powerplay. What a whacky game. Holy crap. Tough loss.
  2. Nice, but I beat ya to it! http://www.jambands.ca/sanctuary/showtopic.php?tid/236590/
  3. Now that he's moved to the backwoods, we dont get the news untill its too late! Dang. I's have's to calls him.
  4. I use the term ever so loosely. It was a two sided argument where one side felt it necessary to apologize and the other didnt. I couldnt think of a better way to say how I felt about it.
  5. If applicable, ie, not obvious, please include the instrument. Thanks.
  6. New theme: Parts you wish you knew how to play - ex. - Iron Butterfly - Inagodadavida - the drum solo (not my choice, merely an example) 1. Kevin Breit & The Sisters - Jesus the Kid - what else? The guitar kicks me in the ass everytime.
  7. 1. Phish - Down with Disease (the dream took place at a motel which, strangely, had a small amphitheatre) 2. Sound Tribe Sector 9 - Musical Story, Yes (I have re-occuring dreams of me being seriously lost at a STS9 show.. which is a vague memory of it really happening.. And this song (well not really a song but an expert) is always playing.. freaky deaky) 3. Danny Whitten - C'Mon Baby Let's Go Downtown (Had a dream that Zappa was playing it, but someone thought it was Neil, then it was on an album, then it was on the neverending internet list....) 4. Abba - Knowing Me, Knowing You (No explaination needed) 5. Weather Girls - Its Raining Men (I'd rather not elaborate ) 6. The Slip - Love and Tears (ask daveyboy) 7. Dylan - Changing of the Guards- I was with Bob and Helena Sprins I think that my intentions were to sleep with him,.....the old Bob! and it didn't really bother me in my dream, but it kinda did when I woke up 8. Slowcoaster - Boiling Hot Leather (because all I think about these days is Jazz) 9. Zoobombs - Superman (I saw them last Saturday and that song was going through my head all night) 10. Motorhead - Iron Horse/Born To Lose 11. Ken Whiteley - Don't Burn the Candle at Both Ends (which is funny, since that wasn't what was burning in my dream) 12. Smashing Pumkins - Space Boy (actually learned how to play this on guitar during the dream. Wierd, huh?)
  8. Gonna run away now and go to the cottage for the week-end, do some snowmobiling and forget about this board for a while. Cheers!!
  9. It wasnt the most entertaining fight ever, but given the circumstances, Belak did his part and that was what needed to be done, so it was awesome. Looked like for a second there he hurt his right hand real bad.
  10. "once guys started accepting Clark as a person, and a ballplayer, ya know, not just a canadian..."
  11. I hate Arcade Fire. Suck to no end. Boring as hell.
  12. Fair enough dude. I feel much the same way, and I hardly even make it out anymore. When I do, its always fun and fullfilling.
  13. The Kareoke scene at the Silver Spur in Waterloo is always thriving.
  14. Im with you. And plus, beats the shit out of hearing a crappy bar band do covers of Mustang Sally, Another Brick in The Wall and/or a slew of other classic rock songs that we hear all day on the radio anayway. Even worse is when they mix in current top 40 tunes like Green Day songs, or Snow Patrol. Oh, biggest pet-peve - What I got by Sublime. C'mon people, please stop. While some of you may think these Jambands suck, just remember, down the street, or right next door even, there's a bunch of assholes either fuckin up Rockin in the Free World, or trying their damndest to emulate Stain. And yes, Marco and Hamilton, it is much better to have a band try to emulate Phish.
  15. The Last True Gentlemen - Live stuff off their website. My cousin is the drummer. Just thought Id give em a little 'sposure. www.thelasttruegentlemen.com Give "A-funk - live" a listen too.
  16. Its even better if you have a cupboard directly over your sink that you can rest your head against. Before you know it, the dishes are done, and your only at the fourth song of the album!
  17. Theme: Great Covers of songs by The Rolling Stones (difficulty: can't use the same song or artist more than once in this theme) 1. Ry Cooder - It's All Over Now 2. Townes van Zandt - Dead Flowers 3. Phish - Loving Cup (released on Live Phish Volume 18) 4. The Who - Under My Thumb 5. Devo - Satisfaction (I Can't Get No) 6. Studio 99 - Angie 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. Who are these guys? Studio 99. Whats their deal anyway? Ive come this > < close to buying one of their albums from a truck stop soooo many times, but could never bring my self to do it. I think they do, like, every band ever. I know there's a Black Sabbath album in the Pharmacy accross the street. I think Ill buy it today.
  18. 93 playoff run - insane. Thanks for that, gave me goosebumps.
