  1. I love Bjork and now I love her house too. That's wild!
  2. Had I known I could gather acolytes by copying and pasting online ads I might have tried years ago.....to think of all the time I've wasted.....
  3. ....the thing has 1T hard drive...8g ram and one of the best laptop vid cards on the market....most don't have half that ram , hard drive or video....
  4. This made me want to see what they had; this laptop would absolutely SMOKE! http://pccyber.com/?v=product&i=NB-AS-G73JH-A1
  5. You can buy anywhere-just look around online first to compare prices and review components etc. I usually go to pc cyber http://pccyber.com to get my stuff because they`re close and have pretty good prices....not sure they have particularly great prices on laptops but they`re not bad either....I bought mine there though. Bought my daughter`s at Best Buy-as long as you know what you're getting and the relative price it doesn't really matter where you are-unless you just don't want to support a certain store.... It also depends what you want ie lots of them have pretty decent video cards if you want 3d graphics etc-some radeon dx11 cards out there etc....
  6. I'd go American on anybody who caused me to be paralyzed by a vaccine. I'd sue everyone down to the freaking janitor who mopped the floor in the joint.
  7. ha ha that's a good one. I've got loads of kids-3 daughters 18, 21 and 6-2 stepkids-one with a daughter.... My advice for putting children to bed is to enjoy it. Some of my fondest memories is of cuddling with my babies as they fell asleep and read the older girls bedtime stories as long as they wanted which was quite a long time. With the youngsters I have realized it is such a small timeframe in your life that never comes again; the chance to be so close to your young innocent children-it seems never ending at times but it is really over too soon. It's such a fleeting thing in your life to be in touch with such beautiful innocence just enjoy it....it's so good for the soul!
  8. So what? Now if Jay Leno decided to play the music of the cosmos instead of Mickey that would be interesting.
  9. How's this to add a twist to the concert vs workaday world; my work is these concerts. I start setting up GnR at 9 am sunday-finish tearing them down at 4-5 am Monday and have to be at work at the National Arts Centre at 8am........ouch! From a fan of music perspective I wonder what the point of putting on this long show is when everyone talks about showing up late to miss the 3 hours of opening acts....
  10. Freebird was good but it needed MORE COWBELL BABY!
  11. If you'd ever taken any you might know what he's on about.
  12. I love Janine Stoll's lyrics I must say and I find the vibe they are putting out to be fun and interesting. I haven't seen them live so can't say otherwise. The writing sets them apart for me as I don't get thrilled from skillful playing on it's own usually.
  13. Yes I'm glad to be able to have that many people possibly check out my site. I'm also happy that we have OHIP to have some assistance in getting that many people into the ER to have the forks they've jammed into their eardrums removed; in which case we should have hoped this was a tiny bubble because if they've stumbled upon this site from the USA they might have to live with the forks jammed into their ears until Obama passes some new health care deal. ...and beyond that why can't the Conan and Pants on the Ground crowd just leave us alone...is it too much to ask?
  14. Boy she had a good run but was still so youthful and vibrant. She could have gone many more miles which is the sad part. Safe home Sister in Song!
  15. They have some really great stuff! I would loved to have gone but alas it was not to be.....
  16. ...must be the old age...... ...not only that but I thought I was at iblameitonsociety.com
  17. ...or... Ijustpaidallmybillsonlineandamreallybrokenowsoicameheretocomiserate.com ...or just hand the joint over to me and I'll call it WHO'SYOURGRANDADDYBITCHES!.com ....which goes to show that whatever it is it's certainly not your grandaddy's grandad's message board (my grandad never would have said anything like that)...
  18. Sounds really good! I'd like to go to the Dakota sometime-it looks like a really cool venue with a good scene what with the Beauties and serena Ryder etc..... I don't really have even enough play money to go to TO from Ottawa though....with all the kids and bills to pay etc....
  19. It is funny to study the post counts. 190 for me pointing out my free locally written and recorded music-the grandaddy of the jam band scene in Ottawa (I say that because I am technically a step grandfather-ha ha take that! Of course I did start the first local jam band back in the eighties but whatever) 300 posts for the massive human tragedy in Haiti while there is a screaming 1000 yes a freaking thousand posts over Conan and Leno!! I don't know what all of this means but it is funny. Maybe we should call it theaftershow.com Or tmzfortheslightlydisenfranchised.com Or entertainmenttonightforthegangwhoistryingnottoadmitthey'rereallyjustyuppies.com ....or something.....
  20. I'm not much of a stat watcher but I heard an interesting stat last night. I can't claim to have even really been aware of how subpar our goaltending is. Apparently our defence allows the 2nd fewest shots in the NHL while our goalies somehow have the 2nd worst save percentage. In spite of this we currently have a playoff spot!!! Imagine how well we would be doing if our goalies were even average let alone really good....... I don't think most people realize what a good job our 'd' is really doing.....I know I didn't....

I'm so lame....I've owned my Blackberry Pearl for years now and I just spent 1/2 an hour trying to figure this out and failed......
  22. That's some great stuff right there. I now want to do a cover of Islands in the Stream myself....except I suppose it's already been done now.....ah well... I always loved Dolly-I guess this proves that it was Kenny Rogers who made that song so cheesy....and the production....
  23. I'll give this a little bump-you never know when Daniel Lanois or Scott Merritt or some other great producer might stop by here (looking for a escape from reading anything music related and find they want a new project to produce in spite of themselves....
  24. Wow this sounds great! I love all your tunes I found through your links there Rev-not the least your own solo stuff. I look forward to hearing more!
