  1. Without knowing anything about these people it unfortunately sounds like this is definitely the case. Although I find this situation pretty tragic, and totally unecessary, I don't know if i view the hosts as "criminally" negligent(speaking in moral terms rather than legal terms). Stupid and irresponsible? Yes.
  2. Just getting this news now. Very cool announcement. I have yet to see UM, and will definitely check out the Toronto show!!
  3. Glad to hear everyone had such a great time, and were able to live up to the hype. It is pretty rare and special opportunity when the mix of timing, place, people and circumstance allows for the creation of a nice, cozy, little community that knows how to boogie... Always good to hear that pockets are thriving throughout our vast and barren land
  4. He's also playing at the Pepperjacks in March. I will definitely be going to that show!! Tis good for the soul me thinks...We don't get enough quality reggae around these parts.
  5. gotta love the grass, that's for sure!
  6. Fifteen years! That's no small feat. Congrats guys, and thanks for all of the fun times.
  7. Todd and I are likely in for staying at a hotel as well...
  8. jack has now reached vampire status... excellent.
  9. Sooo stoked for this. And oddly enough I feel slightly embarassed to admit that. I just hope that work obligations do not result in me missing tomorrow night's episode. I have a feeling my colleagues may be less than understanding of my reason for wanting to bow out early... "please excuse me, the clock is ticking"
  10. Yeah, what a great, cozy, family vibe the other night. I had a great time celebration the birth of the Marks with so many familiar, and smiling faces. It's always good to see the browntown folks out in the Hammer. It had been WAY too long since I last saw Mark Wilson play outside of Come Together! That line-up above makes me smile!
  11. actually I quite like Tool. They lay down some dark funky bass... If both Pearljam and Tool ended up at Bonnaroo that would tremendously alter the climate, but I have to admit I respect both of those bands.
  12. Thanks for keeping the music coming Jay!
  13. THat is like sooo indie, and like sooo predictable!
  14. I think I'll try and make it out to Elliot Brood. Never seen him before... I'm liking the fact that Slowcoaster is sharing the bill with the Fatties for St. Patties. That should be a fun night! Also, is Nathan (Feb. 23rd's show) a female folk rock sort of band? When I was out in Vancouver I caught a Be Good Tanyas show, and I think the opener was called Nathan. If so, it was good stuff! Cheers!
  15. What is the ordering of bands for next THursday's show at PJs? I'd like to check it all out, but I gotta watch those mid-week late nights...
  16. And here I thought they'd won you over on that one... I tend not to have any steadfast rules in place when listening to music.
  17. i'd put money on it... but then again, puzzles has always been able to speak for himself! I think I want to go again... I'll have to see if my wallet agrees...
  18. Cool stuff, I hope to check Tiiu out one of these fine days.
  19. Safe travels to you AP!! Nice meeting you, and I look forward to our next running-in. I wonder if anyone over in that part of the world will be able to compete with your infamous locks?
  20. Happy birthday. Hopefully you have many more years of bringing musical joy to those around you!
  21. I can't believe that this is the first that I am hearing about this!! Where the hell have I been? A must-see for sure!
  22. I was always a fan of Hacksaw Jim Duggen (not sure if I'm spelling that correctly)... Ah yes, fond memories of my Sunday morning rituals as a child. Go to church first thing in the morning with ma and grandma, and then come home to watch WWF with my Dad. It's all about the balance I guess...
