  1. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that the Mighty Popo is NOT Popo weenie? Or is it?
  2. Be interesting to see/hear them now. It's quite a shake-up
  3. Yup fantastic night. We had an awesome crew which certainly helped to fuel the excitement. I really love TAB...sometimes (dare I say it) even more than I enjoy a Phish show depending on the night. I love the horn section and the afro-cubanish type of vibe that gets injected here and there. Overall I much prefer his older material as well and was glad we got a good fill of it. having said that not really familiar with the new stuff yet so it may grow on me. The encore was a great topper. Must say, the Danforth for me has been two for two. Great venue and I hope they just keep bringing in these great acts. Nice seeing so many of you smiling
  4. A to the mother effin' Trey.....
  5. Yes those poor band members what a tragedy
  6. No fuggin doubt!! Still kickin' myself for putting a ramble trip off
  7. I had a great year as well. Especially in terms of quality. I don't recall not enjoying any of these shows: Cornmeal Railroad Earth x2 Devil Makes Three x2 Avett Brothers x3 Allman Brothers Phil Lesh & Friends Bob Weir & Bruce Hornsby feat. Branford Marsalis Yonder Mountain String Band G. Love & Special Sauce Big Gigantic Galactic The Wood Brothers Lettuce ALO The Bridge Papadosio The4ontheFloor Chris Robinson Brotherhood City & Colour Dark Star Orchestra x2 Neil Young Trampled by Turtles x2 Spirit Family Reunion I hope that this year is just as, or even more fulfilling. And the above list doesn't count all of the local music I was able to enjoy and partake in, and often those are some of my sweetest moments and fondest memories. I'm a lucky gal.
  8. No Luther does suck but I'm a big fan of Jackie Greene so I'm intrigued
  9. Bumpity bump bump bumpity bump bump over the hills of snow!
  10. Damn, don't think any of those dates will work for me. Was really hoping they'd be in California during early April as I have to head out that way for a couple days for a conference. Stoked to hear this but I must say I really hope that this does not spell the end of the Chris Robinson Brotherhood. I hope there's enough time, space and energy for both. CRB has come to be one of my favourite live acts to see and as far as I could tell they were only picking up steam.
  11. But the cat came back the very next day...

Whaaat? Never mind I don't want or need to know.
  13. Well Todd, Dave & Gatch (of Fat Cats) are getting together for a little acoustic holiday spirit. I'm thankful as at the holiday times in particular I'm missing getting to see the band play and the old community. Come on out of the woodwork if ya please.

The broken angel always delivers me solace
  15. You paint a fond picture Pablo. My thoughts are with all those that were supported and inspired by him.
  16. Ha. Every year this thread makes me feel wet behind the ears but I still look forward to it in a big way. My list is pretty much Schwa's list. I thought the Old Crow album may just be their best yet. I'd add Mumford's Babel and enjoyed many tracks of the Avett's Carpenter as well

Just love, compassion, heartbreak. Be thankful every day for what is precious and fleeting. Every day.
