That's really really too bad about the traffic issues. I have never experienced anything like that whatsoever at any previous Festival of Friends, or for the Ancaster Fair which is held in the same location (obviously a different sort of event entirely)... Glad to hear it was a good vibe once you got in there.
Terra is really really great. Refreshing sound. Great song-writing. Great band too. I've got a wedding that evening, but otherwise I'd be trying to make my way to that show for sure.
This looks so great. The date might not be the best for me though... And those with kids Turkey Rhubarb is good times. Me and the little man have "rocked" it out to them at the library a few times
hmmm' date=' I seem to recall C-Towns saying that he saw them in Canmore a bunch...perhaps he can shed some light on a few of the local traditions...[/quote'] McConaughey?
Cool. Hard to believe twenty years for sure. Heard on the radio this morning that its been ten years since George Harrison died too which I was having trouble accepting as accurate.
My biggest memory of Blue Quarter will always be The Canmore Hotel. God are there ever a lot of dudes in Canmore. And they all like to get together and take their shirts off. Very...interesting. I recall whip cream being circulated amongst the crowd that night too.
Sounds awesome Mark. Yeah I have to get myself back there real soon one of these fine days. REALLY sorry to hear about the breakdown news though Captain and Baj! What a drag! I know how much you look forward to this. I hope you were able to salvage your weekend as much as possible.
Apparently rare footage of Richard Wayne Penniman (aka Little Richard) as a child, about fifteen years before "Rip it Up, Tutti Frutti, oh, Rudy....etc." From some movie with Van Johnson. I love his approach/style http://www.wimp.com/oldschool/
