  1. That was a great night of music. I was BLOWN away by Terra's voice. I have been meaning to catch her for quite some time without really knowing anything about her, and am I ever glad I did. Just beautiful. Her and Cam sounded great together and their guitar playing was very enjoyable as well. They completely held the attention of everyone in that room it seemed. Pretty sure Wayne Petti never played? Unless I missed something. Truthfully Chris Bell didn't really do anything for me, and even he seemed dissapointed with his performance given some of his banter. I thought Charlotte was very interesting. Some songs I liked, others not so much, but she has a unique, quirky approach which was refreshing. LOVED Dan Romano and The Trilliums. Had a feeling I would and they certainly came through. You sounded fantastic Rev, really enjoyed the bassist, and absolutely loved the harmonies between Dan and Misha. She certainly brings this whimsical ease that I really enjoyed. Those lonesome harmonies get me every time. Really enjoy the songwriting. As I was sitting there I kept thinking to myself how much the older generations of my family would appreciate this music.
  2. You couldn't give it away??? Oh that slays me. Sounds like a fantastic show. Colour me WAY jealous, especially given the All the Diamonds. I've yet to hear him do that live, and that song has special meaning to me too. A campfire favourite sitting by the water. Damn.
  3. Some fine searching skills Sherlock http://www.jambands.ca/sanctuary/showtopic.php?tid/257911/post/656538/hl/jerry+jams+for+rex/fromsearch/1/ But sure worth bringing to the surface again!
  4. FACK! Sure hope you enjoyed yourself! Poor mom.
  5. Yeah I love that name...

    Mystery Train

Damn I wish I could play the harp! Maybe I should teach myself in all my spare time...
  7. Well a day late, but I wasn't around these parts over the weekend. Was a really nice night last last. You are a hell of a friend and a hell of a gal! Much love to you!!
  8. Hmmm...definitely some moments where you reminded me of Kate Fenner. Nice.
  9. Tough call. Who knows? I guess if you're already seeing Phish three other times this summer that's one thing... But something tells me your heart & soul will seem far away while having a good time in Ottawa. I find the exhaustion factor is increasingly weighing in for me these days (I'm ashamed to admit). I don't always listen to it, but it certainly rears its ugly head. Bottom line, when these two "tough" choices comprise your dilemma, life is good. Real good. Enjoy!
  10. This is the info I was able to dig up for Sunday's show. So if I am reading this right does that mean there will be five different acts that night? Yeesh. Looks like the first one will be on by 9:30. They all tweak my interest a bit and I'll be going regardless, but this is looking like a far later evening than I was initially anticipating. Any ideas what time Dan will actually hit the stage? Cincinnati Records Proudly Presents DANIEL ROMANO (Attack in Black), Charlotte Cornfield, Wayne Petti (Cuff the Duke), Chris Bell (Chore) & Terra Lightfoot+Cam Malcolm (Huron) @ Casbah Lounge -- 9PM -- LIC/AA :: $10
  11. Yeah congrats on playing the Ledges. What a special place. I think the energy you guys throw out will be very well received!!
  12. Happy birthday Bradm!
  13. Wouldn't that be handy. This lineup is not enough to get me there, and there's just too damn much to choose from this summer as is, but there's still a handful of acts on there that I dig, and a couple more I'd be interested in checking out. Certainly amongst all the others that I'm dismissing there must be at least one that would pleasantly surprise me.
  14. This place is still one of the highlights of my work day. I guess I really suck. Ebbs & flows. (I am also not on facetwit so I still don't know what I'm missing)
  15. Yup, it fucks with my mind and my grammer and it only gets worse from here! Giddy up.
  16. Happy birthday Anne! Hope to see your smiling face soon partner!
  17. He should tell them to fack right off in his simplistic, melodically enchanting way. And they should thank him.
  18. Come on Tooly. No wavering dude. Diesel Dog rocked last weekend which makes me even more excited about this weekend. I got the boogie bug, and I like it.
  19. Really hoping to make it to the Casbah. He's been on heavy rotation for me lately. Beautiful.
  20. This would be so so good. I just want to hear the jams they'd be cooking up on that train!
  21. Damn. I don't think you could go wrong with either of those line-ups. I'd sure love to see the Neville Brothers again and/or Dumpstaphunk. Been quite some time. I didn't even know John Popper had another band.
  22. I could sure use some Further right about now. Ship of Fools > Must Have Been the Roses > Ship of Fools? Sigh.... yes please.
  23. If I had to make a list of top-ten annoying songs that Trooper tune would certainly be a contender. Its comical though so that might be its saving grace.
  24. High expectations for 'average', no?
