  1. Thanks for the review BWM. I agree. I'm glad they aren't using the 80s/90s set structure anymore as well. The main reason why, no Jerry and that's what made the past structure what it was in my opinion. I may miss the old, but it certainly doesn't mean I dislike the new either. I enjoyed listening to this show, and have enjoyed the shows from this tour I've listened to so far. Makes me wish I could have hit a couple of them.
  2. Anyone know what her health issues are? Well I won't argue about the smoking, Joni also has issues with stage fright and/or big public appearances, which was the reason why she didn't tour or do many shows for quite a long time. I recall when we flew to Vancouver in 1998 to see Dylan, Van and Joni at GM place and the big news was that Joni was even going be touring that year. When Van hit the stage (Joni>Van>Bob), he even made comment about her courage and encouraged the crowd to give her a big hand before starting his set. I was happy to catch her in Vancouver, and opening for Bob later that year in Toronto.
  3. Agreed. 87 and 89 were my two favourite tours (summer) and the early 90s were just plain fun all round, Jerry's health aside. But by 6/13/93, I had had my fill of the tour scene and the bs that came with it, so that's where I called it quits.

    Powerful video

After 9 updates, 5 hot-fixes, installing net framework 3.3a v2.2b, updating my BIOs and installing 3rd party custom firmware, I was able to to view this on my iPad. World changed.

Is the Toyota compatible with the iPad? What about Davey Boy 2.0?
  7. I heard Megadeath might be playing.
  8. If you use a BIOs flash hack making it appear it's OEM, you can get around the authenticator!
  9. Also, the first working computer, modern sewer treatment facilities and regular television broadcasts.

  12. But, we have all the same ways to exercise our minds and bodies as we've had all our lives. It isn't the technology to blame for people being lazy, mentally or physically. Blaming technology is a cop-out, in my opinion. Agreed though, this sorta went off the road. Personally, I'm just replying to help promote the new iPad.

  14. Out of curiosity, how often did you have 100+ people during your shift buying hundreds of dollars worth of groceries? My point really wasn't that it couldn't be done without a register though. Like I said in my post, some people just make honest mistakes, some have trouble with the math and others have no trouble at all. btw, I understand amount tendered.
  15. I wonder what people would be saying if they went for groceries and none of cashiers used registers. Imagine 10 people, most getting groceries for a family, possibly for the month, all ahead of you in line while the cashier adds things up in their head. I've had my share of incorrect change, but I catch it, so it's never a big deal. Some people just make honest mistakes, some just have trouble with the math, some none at all, that's fine by me. I doubt I could tell which it was for each person though.
  16. Yep. I ended up not being able to go to the Hamilton show, so my friend (who I was to go with) went with his cousin and said it wasn't all that good. Nice to hear some old songs that they used to like, but the new stuff sounded like screaming, and not the good kind.
  17. I don' think the technology is to blame for stifled creativity to be honest, it's those who use new technology and don't bother to explore or learn what it can fully do, this includes those who put it down without ever knowing the full capabilities of something new. Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry gets his Dad a 'wizard' organizer, and he thinks it's just a tip calculator.
  18. Might want to do a quick google and/or myspace search before making such claims.
