  1. We were thinking of hitting Bayfest again this year (got friends in Sarnia) to see Scorpions & Rush, but seeing that Rush are playing two Toronto dates, I think I may try to hit one of those & head out to Pottahawk instead.
  2. I've had this on VHS (as filler) for years & have a DVD version as well. I'd probably go check it out if it came around here just to see the footage in that quality.
  3. It took me a few seconds to see what he was talking about, at first I thought it looked more like a Giger style image - the eyes being the dark dots where the hands are and nose where the feet are.
  4. I wish novocaine gave me any sorta buzz...each time I've had it the only thing I got from it was a swollen mouth. Maybe it's a slight allergic reaction or just b.s.
  5. Exactly. I had a similar conversation not too long ago where a friend said "you really like the unknown bands don't you?" when I was referring to bands like Drive-By Truckers, The Gourds and William Elliott Whitmore being bands I'd love to see outdoor at the same festival. I then told him to look any of them up online and he'd see they get hyped just as much as Q107 hypes Rush, or 102.1 FM hypes Our Lady peace. He obviously didn't get my drift since his only reply was something along the lines of: "well, they can't be too popular, I've never heard them on Q107 or 102.1 FM or seen them play any festivals they advertise."
  6. So are fish sticks, doesn't make em good.

  9. Although pretty trivial, one thing that's been bothering me about this movie is the new catchphrase of the month that comes from the title. Just like that 'bucketlist' or the "honey do list" crap, I keep hearing people use it an opener for what I assume they think is going be a funny conversation. On the radio, on TV or in person. eg: "If you had a hot tub time machine..." (google and see) And I agree with Dinghy, this movie looks absolutely terrible.
  10. Quick question, are any of the downloads (at any of the links above) in lossless formats or at least higher mp3 bitrates? I don't have an issue with mp3s per se, but I do like to convert them with a program I trust and at a bitrate I prefer, if possible. I know beggers can't be choosers and all, but I've grown tired of downloading things that come in 192 or less bitrates with "glitches" from inadequate conversion programs, and would rather know ahead of time before downloading & being disappointed.
  11. I've never had a seasonal selection or preference, well, except Christmas I suppose. Here's whats been playing today anyway... The Gourds - Shinebox Frank Fairfield - Frank Fairfield Rob Wasserman - Trios Bob Dylan - New Morning
  12. Happy Birthday Brad & BWM! Hope you guys had a great day.
  13. Thanks Sarah, I appreciate the offer. If you happen to be in the area (Hamilton/Dundas/ Burlington etc) and have room going to the show that would be great, but if not it's not a problem. I shouldn't have much trouble getting there. Getting back was my main concern. Yep. A spot coming back would be awesome & greatly appreciated. That would take a lot of stress off. I was worried I may have to pass on the first night, since I've got my yearly check up at the Juravinski centre in the AM and I can't miss it.
  14. Anyone from Hamilton, or nearby area have an extra seat in their car? I'm looking for a ride if possible, at least for the first night as I have to be back in town after the show and up early the next day (so I won't be looking for an after party or be all that wasted). I'll gladly throw some gas cash or pay for parking. Shoot me a PM if anyone can help out.
  15. Beat me to it, I was just about to post this...
  16. "Someday a real rain will come and wash all this scum off the streets."
  17. Congratulations guys. And a big welcome to Cohen James McCartney
  18. I thought I read somewhere that the company's would be required to pay if they employed a specific number of people. I may be remembering it wrong though. (Admittedly, I haven't read through the details.)
  19. DISPENSE PILLS Not an AD or PSA, just sayin'.
