  1. i left this book on a bus by accident going from vancouver to kelowna. why i remember this is in vancouver i met this girl whom i hadnt seen in three years (we met at hershy before clifford ball). anyhow she took this black and white picture of my friends and i on tour that kind of just 'captured 'what its like to be young and free. anyhow i left tht picture in the book on the bus, in 1999. anyone seen it?
  2. nothing is perfect ie. diesel, hybrid etc. but a hybrid is better for with respect to contributing less to global warming than a regular gas car. i agree however there are issues with the batteries. the ford escape hybrid seems about the same price as the civic hyprd. it gets an advertised 35mpg and might solve your SUV dilemma.
  3. i find as i age...it gets harder to sleep in...gone are the days i would sleep to 3 in the afternoon,... however, i find if i get up early, and want to go back to bed i will shower, and then lie back down. kinda like psyching myself out i guess. my body feels the shower which it equls to going to work, then i just go back to sleep. make any sense?
  4. i agree a jerry channel would be sweet. although i heard a sweet FOTD by phil and friends the other day. so far i'm liking sirius. i wish they had better reception here though. my only other complaint is i bought the boombox, and completely didnt realize you have to attach the antennae (which only works outside on my deck) via wire to the boombox. nor teally portable even in your own home. you figure a 'satellite' radio company would specialize in wireLESS communication ie. antennae outside transmits to receiver in 50 yard radius. thanks for all the info before i bought it. spencer
  5. do novelty acts really last twenty plus years? love em. havnt listened to studio in a while but agree that billy breathes is fantastic. Hoist is also a great album.
  6. itunes is horrible...serioulsy horrible. i've had so many problems with it. currently i cant load onto my ipod as says out of space, no matter how much i earase. i dont like my ipod either, and hope another comapny comes on strong soon.
  7. thanks so much for all the info! seriously, thanks for taking the time for your responses. it is way more clear now what i will need to get. i find when reading the site, like why do i need an extra antennae, when you buy the home kit etc. i want to make the plunge this week, but am considering now making it for myself first! p.s phistaper your response should be linked to their website!
  8. great cd...can check it out here patrick boyle try track 7 for dinner
  9. hi all, i want to buy satellite radio as a gift for my bro. when i check out Sirius website, it gets confusing with respect to what receiver is best and what accessories you need to hook it up. So i was wondering what is the best one to get? i would want it to go from car to house, and i also hear there are portable ones to. is it too bulky for lets say the gym? i dont want to give him something where he will have to go buy a bunch of things either, so what accessories are necessary? any info appreciated. thanks.
  10. yeah i hear you, i want to start an RRSP and went to talk to someone last week. she said, well 'ethical' funds are not really ethical as you can always find something wrong'. i guess i agree but its still better than finding everything wrong with other funds. kind of a cop out. anyhow i read in the globe about investors summa fund, "canada's largest socially responsible fund'. havnt checked it out yet but thought i'd mention it...
  11. tour moment.. wee hours of the morning... i arouse for a brief instant in the back of the van, look out the window, and in front of me is rolling hills with this big white house on top, with some sign saying colonel saunders home or something. ahh kentucky.

    Thanks!

Well i got news last week that i passed my exams! After 26 sraight years of school (including kindergarten)i will have no 'official' school next year. i am now a pediatrician. through a lot of med school, and residency i would often surf jambands for a distraction, laugh, and of course to keep me updated on nearly everything going on in this world. (i'm sure its very reassuring that this is my fountain of knowledge). I would like to thank you all for this. i especially would like to thank the administrators who give their time to run and organize this skanktuary. so while i might of had to skip some , ok a bunch of shows and parties, at least i could read about them and still feel part of a community. this place made (and hopefully will continue to make) a world of difference for me. thanks again, spencer
  14. although maybe they did not turn to the right place for help, it really does not seem he did anything wrong.
  15. marco.... lots of 'idots' make lots of money. george bush...idiot. oil executives...idiots. stephen harper..idiot. car comapny execs..idiots. i'm not saying all these people are dumb. i just dont define smart and idiot in terms of MONETARY value. as for paris, anyone who has that many young people looking up to her and drives drunk THREE times when I'm sure she could easily afford a cab or helicopter is not very smart. no matter how much people pay her to show up at their party. kapish?
  16. my computer is on shuffle, and right when i read this , possum came on. some people can be idiots. from an outsiders view, on the positive side--at least YOU care.
